CLEO’S POV “Cleo? Are you up?” I pulled my blanket over me to bury myself in it all over again, groaning as I did. It was a Monday and judging from my reluctance to get up, I could already tell it wasn’t going to be one of my favorite days. The weekend had gone by in a flash and I’d successfully avoided having the conversation with my dad. Spending more than half of my Saturday with Sophia, my Sunday went almost the same way- my dad also not being home and me spending half the time in my room. Now, it was Monday and I couldn’t hide any longer. I had no not only get up, head to school but also see my dad, all my fears suddenly coming to pass. “I know you’re up honey,” I heard him say, standing outside. “And I know you’ve been avoiding me. But you can’t do that forever so I’m coming in.
