CHAPTER FIVE : SILENT SPARKS AT MOONLIGHT

692 Words
The Moonlight Club shimmered with velvet shadows and golden light, its atmosphere thick with music and whispered promises. Luca and Style entered together, their steps hesitant yet charged with anticipation. They had not seen each other for months, and the reunion carried both astonishment and warmth. They ordered drinks, laughter spilling between them as though time had never passed. Their voices rose above the rhythm, weaving familiarity into the night. When the beat deepened, they moved to the dance floor, their bodies swaying in synchrony, each step echoing a chemistry neither dared to name. Style’s smile glowed, Luca’s gaze lingered, and together they created a spectacle of effortless harmony. Across the room, Tin sat with his girlfriend, a glass of wine balanced in his hand. He appeared detached, but his eyes betrayed him when they fell upon Style. His heart clenched, his blood simmered. The sight of Style laughing, dancing, radiant in another man’s company was intolerable. His girlfriend leaned against him, speaking softly, but her words dissolved into nothingness. Tin’s thoughts were consumed by the chef he claimed to despise. The music pulsed, and Luca leaned closer to Style. “It feels like we never left,” he murmured. Style’s lips curved into a smile, but his eyes flickered with shadows. “It feels like we’re stealing time,” he replied, his voice tinged with melancholy. Their chemistry was undeniable, evident in the way their movements mirrored each other, in the way silence between them felt charged rather than empty. Yet beneath the laughter lay scars. Style’s past with Jude haunted him, and the memory of betrayal lingered like smoke. Suddenly, Tin’s gaze sharpened. Across the room, Jude appeared, his presence commanding and cruel. He forced Style toward the dance floor, demanding he entertain his friends. Style’s body stiffened, his eyes glistening with humiliation. Tin’s blood boiled, memories of his brother’s cruelty flooding back. Unable to restrain himself, Tin surged forward, shoving Jude aside. “Enough!” he roared, his voice reverberating through the club. Style’s tears shimmered under the dim lights, his fragile composure breaking. Jude sneered, his arrogance unshaken. “Mind your own business,” he spat. The confrontation escalated, words clashing like blades. Tin’s fists clenched, his rage palpable, but Victor intervened, pulling him back before violence erupted. The crowd murmured, the music faltered, and the atmosphere thickened with tension. Style, trembling, was led away by Tin. “I thought I hated your kind,” Tin muttered, his voice low, almost broken. “Yet here I am, taking you out of this mess.” Outside, the night air cooled their flushed faces. Style’s sobs subsided, and after a long silence he spoke, his voice fragile yet resolute. “I once had a crush on Jude,” he confessed. “But he used me, beat me, and nearly forced me into things I cannot forget.” Tin’s fury ignited anew, his mind ablaze with vengeance. “I’ll kill him,” he growled, his voice trembling with rage. But Style grasped his arm, stopping him. “No,” he whispered. “Don’t let his cruelty define you. Don’t let him drag you into darkness.” Tin froze, stunned by the chef’s strength. Style’s arms wrapped around him, a hug born of desperation and defiance. Tin stood rigid, his heart pounding, his mind reeling. He had never expected warmth from the man he scorned, yet here it was — undeniable, unspoken, and dangerously intoxicating. Their embrace was interrupted by Tin’s girlfriend, who appeared searching for him. The moment shattered, leaving Tin torn between loyalty and desire. Luca and Victor soon joined, their presence grounding the chaos. Luca guided Style away, his protective hand firm, while Tin departed with his girlfriend, his thoughts still consumed by the chef. As they parted, Tin’s mind lingered on Valentine’s — a day he had never cherished. Yet now, something stirred within him. Perhaps it was the shared hatred of Jude, or perhaps it was the undeniable spark that Style had ignited in him. Whatever it was, it refused to fade The night ended, but the chemistry remained — silent, unspoken, and burning beneath the surface.
