MAXINE’S POV:
I was sitting on my patio, sipping a glass of wine when Crystal and Venus drove in. She packed the Range Rover Sport in the garage and they both stepped down, carrying loads of shopping bags.
I smiled at them broadly. I was happy they were getting along.
“Hey,” I said as they approached.
My eyes widened when they both came and gave me a kiss on both cheeks at the same time.
This was new.
“Hope you had a good time?” I asked, glancing from one beautiful face to the other.
Venus nodded cutely.
“We did, thanks to your blackcard,” Crystal responded gleefully.
