CHAPTER 61: YOU'RE A HYBRID
VENUS:
I was in a field, walking toward a female figure. I didn't know who she was but I had the urge to go to her. Then suddenly, a male figure stood beside her. They looked like a couple.
“Venus,” a voice called from where the female figure was. It sounded a bit familiar. Gentle, yet edged with urgency. “Turn around and go back, my love. Don’t come any further.”
I turned around and my back was facing toward the sound, my feet gliding over the ground though I hadn’t moved them.
“You’ve grown strong, Venus. But you must remember who you are.”
“I don’t understand,” I whispered.
“There were wolves who feared what you could become—what your bloodline meant. They wanted you dead. Your father and I died trying to shield you.”
