A HUMAN BREEDER

CHAPTER 5: A HUMAN BREEDER VENUS: I woke up to the sound of muffled voices in my room. I didn't quite understand what they were saying except something about the Alpha's human breeder. It was the nurses talking. I tried not to draw their attention but they must have sensed that I was awake. So they stopped talking. What was it about the Alpha's human breeder they didn't want me to know about? The ache in my body had begun to dull a little and I should be happy but I'm not. What was my purpose here?. I was a slave now and couldn't imagine this new phase of my life getting better. My uncle had sold me off like cattle to a man who didn’t see me as a person but as a piece of property. Today is my seventh day here and I'm about to be discharged. Alpha Maxine walked inside my room in the clinic, looking very impatient. Now that I am in better health, I could see him clearly. He has fair skin and his hair is dark and curly. He was taller than anyone I know and he looked very masculine, with his jawline being so well defined. His aura was powerful and intimidating. Not to mention his piercing blue eyes which seemed to see through my soul. How could someone be so ruthless and still be so handsome? My heartbeat increased as he approached. He turned to the doctor and enquired about my progress. “She's not completely healed but she's much better now. We had special skill in treating her.” He nodded stiffly and moved to my side. He stood silently and gazed at me. I stiffened my body and lowered my head so that my face was completely covered by my hair. He leaned down and held my chin and lifted my chin so I could look at him. “Are you feeling better?” His deep husky voice sent my heart racing. I nodded without saying a word. “When I ask you a question, use your voice not your head to answer me, do you understand?” I nodded again and his grip on my chin hardened. Then I quickly said, “yes sir.” He took a long piercing look at me, turned on his heels and walked away. The doctor looked at me with pitiful eyes. "You'll be fine," she murmured, though his tone lacked conviction. "Just stay out of trouble and do as you're told." I didn’t respond. What was there to say? Another good looking man walked in. “Beta Conrad,” the doctor greeted. “Is she ready?” He didn't even respond to her greetings. “Yes, I guess she is.” “You guess? You know how Maxine is. I'm sure you don't want him on your neck about this.” The doctor sighed. “I brought her back to life within seven days. Every other thing was up to the moon goddess.” The Beta sighed and told me to follow him. I came here with nothing of mine. And that was because I had nothing but the rag that had clung to my skin. Despite my worries, I admit that these people have actually made me look like a human being with constant bathing and new clothes. The Beta led me through the massive estate, until we arrived at the mansion. The hallways stretched endlessly, adorned with luxurious furnishings that seemed out of place in my miserable reality. When we stopped in front of a door, he pushed it open, revealing a large, lavish room. "This is where you’ll stay," he said, his expression blank. "It’s next to the Alpha’s chambers. He wants you close." Close? The thought alone made my stomach churn. As I stepped inside, and took a thorough look around the room. The bed was massive, and the sheets looked softer than anything I had ever touched. The room smelled faintly of pine and leather and it was beautiful. But I couldn’t appreciate any of it. I was too trapped in my fear. The door shut behind me, locking me into my new prison. Qq For hours, I sat at the edge of the bed, staring at the wall, unable to process what was happening. I couldn’t escape. I had no one. No one would save me. A sudden knock at the door made me flinch. Before I could respond, the door swung open, and a towering figure filled the doorway. Alpha Maxine again. He has become like a ghost, haunting me. I shrank back, my breath catching in my throat as his sharp eyes landed on me. He looked as powerful as ever, his broad shoulders filling the space, his dark eyes unreadable. But there was something in his gaze—something cold and assessing. "You fear me," he stated, stepping inside. The door closed behind him, trapping me with him. "Why?" I swallowed hard, my throat dry. "I...I..." His eyes narrowed. "Speak." I clenched my fists in my lap, trying to get my voice to work. "I don't belong here." His expression didn’t change. "That is not for you to decide." I opened my mouth to plead, but the words died in my throat. What was the point? I was already his slave. Maxine took a deep breath, and stepped closer. Instinctively, I recoiled, pressing myself against the bedpost, my body shaking. He looked annoyed. "Do not cower like a beaten dog. It’s pathetic." My lips parted, but I had no response. His jaw tightened, and after a long, tense moment, he turned toward the door. "You will eat. You will sleep. And you will do what is required of you. The sooner you accept that, the better." With that, he walked towards the door. But before he could shut it behind, I called out to him. “Excuse me sir!”
