“Put it between your lips.” He said softly after realizing I was still lost. I did as he said.
“Good girl.” He muttered.
My mind froze but my body followed through with his command. But on the inside, the chaos was beyond me. Good girl? In that f*****g tone??
Was he trying to kill me? The spark of the lighter brought me back to reality. I looked at him confused. What was I supposed to do next?
Oh yes! I was supposed to be smoking. I took my first drag. Of course, I also broke out into a cough fit, a terrible one at that. It made everything feel hazy for a moment.
“Here, have some water,” He chuckled at me, laughing without offering any other comfort except the bottle of water he cracked open for me. My eyes got blurry as I felt my chest heat up from the hot smoke.
