chapter 19

madhu's pov

Ahh... this is so frustrating, I applied to many companies, some companies are interested in my qualification and now I have to go to the interview, and for that, I have to select a dress which is very frustrating.

I don't know what to wear now, for the past one hour I've been looking through my wardrobe, I  can't find simple formal wear for the interview, damn it.

suddenly I heard a knock on the door, " yes" I said.

" it's me," Harsha said.

"come in," I replied.

" are you ready?" Harsha asked while entering in and shocked to see me in my nightwear.

"I don't know, I don't know anything," I said feeling down, yep that's me, a single thing can make me frustrated and can make me feel down when I went try new things or try to interact with new people, well in my case I am going to face both the situations, how foolish I am to think that I can work out this, I am at the verge to cry.

" hey relax, tell me what happened? is there anything I can do?" while I was in my destructive thoughts, Harsha spoke. 

"I don't know what to wear," I said trying to stop myself from crying.

" ok, let's see what we have here" saying this he went near the wardrobe, suddenly I got this Deja Vu feeling and unknown feelings rushed through me.

I don't what got into me, but I just wanted to look at him, feel him and I never wanted to leave him, it's like he is a part of me. I don't know what has got into me, I stood up and went to him, made him turn back and look at me and then kissed him, at first he was surprised, and after that, he kissed me back, after enjoying the good moment my senses are back, I got panicked, broke the kiss and looked down not knowing what to do, my face is like ripen tomato by now, I stood there shocked.

"i..uh...actually," I shuttered not knowing what to do, Harsha stood there motionless with a black trouser and white shirt in his hands.

I took them from him, " great, I will wear them and get ready." I said with the greatest difficulty, still he stood there like a statue, boy! just come out of it jeez.

Harsha's pov

what the hell was that? how the hell did this happened?

while I was searching her closet for formal wear I came with a black and white combination business attire, I liked it, she will be perfect in it, while I was in my thoughts, I didn't notice she was near me until she turned me to look at her, and suddenly she kissed me.

she freaking kissed me, oh god, I was surprised at this, well even I am surprised, I reciprocated it and it was amazing, god I missed these lips so much, and suddenly she broke the kiss just like that, I was still in the daze, she took the dress from my hand and went away leaving me in a daze, you cant do that!

woman, first you kissed me without any warning and went away just like that like nothing has happened leaving me in shock, that is illegal.

I was still in a daze, looking out the window in my office and thinking about the incident in the morning.

" May I come in sir," my P.A 

" come in," I said.

" what is it drake," I asked.

" Sir, these are the details of the hope orphanage, and" he trailed off, I sense something in his voice.

" what is it drake, is there any problem?" I asked him, sensing something is wrong with him.

" Well, sir the thing is it is the same orphanage that Annika madam used to live in," he said hesitatingly, my eyes widened, I checked the files and it's true and I even recalled while she said that. 

everything came in view like it happened yesterday, pain, anger, helplessness, and rage took over me.

" call Andrew and tell him to meet in an hour," I said controlling myself, I have to do something before I lose control.

madhu's pov

sitting in the waiting area, and waiting for the results is one hell of a tough job, when I came to this company, I was just nervous, but after finishing two rounds now I am panicking and super nervous, what am I going to do other than tapping my legs and biting my nails.

suddenly my phone is ringing, it's Kartik thank god, when they said I was qualified first two rounds and there only one round left, I have no energy left so I called him, you know for support.

" Well, hello there," he said in a teasing tone, I wasn't on talking terms with him, since I found out he was a childhood friend of Harsha, so when I called him now, he literally made beg him, stupid him, I am going to make him pay for it.

" where are you?" I asked.

" at the entrance, honey these corporates are not going to allow me inside unless I have an id or someone who can make them allow me," he said sarcastically.

god! this guy can't he talk straight for once? " I am coming," I said sighing.

I went out after confirming that my interview is held after lunch break which is after 2 hours from now. relief washed over me when I saw, Karthik leaning to his car and waving at me.

" well, how was the interview?"  he asked leaning on to the car.

" It was fine, I was qualified for the personal interview and I am so nervous," I said.

"huh.. that's crazy, who selected you any way I thought they will select the candidates who have a brain that is working properly?" he asked in serious mode, I am going to kill him.

"HAHAHA, very funny." I smacked his head.

" jeez, girl that hurts," he whined.

" you deserve it," I said while laughing.

"All alright where you want to go, we can go anywhere since we have 2 hours," he said.

"anywhere, besides I have to inform those guards over there and also to your friend," I said blankly.

he sighed " don't you worry about that, let me make him a call and, " he said and dialed his number " hello there, miss me." he said playfully, is he even a doctor?

" well, I am taking your wife on a date, is it ok with you?" he asked while smirking, I was perplexed and was laughing while smacking his arm.

" don't worry, I will drop her safely, I will take care of it, yeah yeah, ok, " he said rolling his eyes.

" typical," he muttered.

we went into a Chinese restaurant, we sat near a window and waiting for our food, I saw there is a commotion going on outside of this place, turns out a guy is proposing to a girl and she accepted it, people are cheering for them and some people,  I expect them to be his friends, throwing flowers at them and suddenly they kissed, unknowingly my finger went to my lips and morning incident came into my mind, his lips, his kiss, his strong cologne everything and like an i***t a small smile appeared in my lips, I didn't notice what was happening in my surroundings.

after a while, I realized I am in the restaurant with Karthik who is looking at me like I am a madwoman, I coughed and asked: "where is the food it's been a long time".

he scoffed " someone is busy in their little world of fairies even to notice that the food is already there in the table and it's getting cold." 

" Alright, jeez! are you in your PMS or what?" I said.

" I've called you so many times, but no to my avail you are in a different world, seems like thinking about your husband?" he smirked.

entire lunch passed by him teasing or me smacking him or getting irritated by his teasings, when we came back to the office I was a little bit relieved but not fully out of nervousness, looking at my conditions, " hey it going to be ok, you already came this far, and trust me you are gonna rock this, don't be nervous and give your  I don't care attitude a bit and everything is going to be fine." he said and I laughed.

" that's my lady Hitler," he said while smiling.

" Stop it," I said pushing him.

after that he left, I was not nervous, he is right if not this company, there are several companies in this city, I inhaled heavily and went for it.

after 2 hours.

" Hello," I said more like shouting.

" heyyy" he said excitingly.

" guess what, I am selected, I have selected Ronny," I shouted outside of the building.

"Wow, congrats Maddy, I know you will," he said, I can sense his happiness.

" thankyou, I can't believe, I actually did it." I sighed.

" so, when are you going to treat me," he asked

" whenever you like," I replied.

" ok," he said.

after talking with him for like an hour, I called Karthik and told him that I got selected as expected he boosted himself saying that he is a lucky charm and all.

I was so excited to say this to Harsha,  he will be so happy, wait! when did we start to share each other things anyway.

I was waiting for him to come home, and looking at the gate while roaming in the living room, come on why is he not coming.

when I hear a car sound I ran towards the door and stood there waiting for him, he came towards looking surprised to see me at door, I smiled displaying all my teeth.

he gave me a confused look and raised his eyebrow, " I got selected in the interview today." I squealed.

his face light up, " that's great" he said, I took his coat sat beside him on the couch, " yeah, I going to start from Monday" I said.

" Well, congrats," he said and smiled looking at me, why am I feeling this smile is holding so many emotions.

we were at the dining table, eating our dinner, suddenly Harsha spoke " so what is the name of this company anyway?" he asked.

"mmh.. oh it's MAHA enterprises," I replied.

" oh ok, you know just be careful out there," he said.

I nodded my head and there goes silence again.

today is Sunday, so that means Harsha will be at home and that means more interaction and also many fights, It been 2'0 clock in the afternoon and we are not talking with each other.

it was his fault, first in the morning I tricked Amy by throwing my medicines into the dustbin, but this man-CCTV caught me and made me take my medicine by threatening that Amy will be punished because of me.

I was so mad at him and in my anger, I lost my appetite, I didn't want to eat lunch with that man, so I was in the bedroom sitting in the bed and folded my hands thinking about how to bash at him.

suddenly door burst open revealing the blackmailer of the century walking towards my direction.

" Stop behaving like a child now and come down to eat," he said sternly, well who are trying to tame MR.Malhotra.

I just turned my head to another side without replaying.

he sighed and massaging to the nose bridge and said " look, if you don't come down to eat, Amy will bring your lunch here." 

"I don't want to eat, if she brings it here, I swear I am going to throw away every single thing from the balcony," I said angrily looking at him.

" Madhu, stop being stubborn, come down and eat or,"  I cut him off 

" or what, are you going to blackmail me by using those poor souls, what?" I said angrily.

without talking he came towards me, lifted me up, and carried me downstairs in a bridal style, " how dare you, put me down you monster, put me down," I am yelling and punching him in his chest but there was no effect.

" stop moving Madhu," he said irritatingly,

" put me down, put me down," I was yelling without listening.

" Alright," saying this he loosened his grip, I was going to fall on the ground, in an instant, I rounded my hands around his neck and held him tightly while keeping my head in his chest and closed my eyes, I can hear his chuckle.

" that's my good girl." saying this carried me downstairs dining hall and kept me down. I gave him a glare which he ignored.

I sat down in the chair beside him " how dare you to do this, yo.....mmh" he kissed me on the lips by not letting me finish my sentence, I was in a daze. 

" you, " he cut me off again.

" one more word from you I am at all honor to do this again," he said smirking.

other than giving him a glare, I am unable to do anything, so I started eating, giving him death glares. 

time skip

this is it, from tomorrow onwards I have to go to work, for an introvert like me it is so much big, how is it going to be anyway?, while I was in my thoughts Harsha entered into the room, with just sweat pants and his upper body is naked but a towel around his neck small droplets of water dripping from his hairs in his body, god his abs ! he stood there drying his hair with the towel around his neck, looking like a Greek god.

" have you had enough view?" he asked smirking

" what," I asked completely embarrassed but trying to be innocent.

"We both knew what am I talking about," he said with that smirk, I hate that smirk.

" ah...you.... good night," I said loudly and went to sleep, I can hear his chuckle.

MAHA enterprises, well here I am, currently, I am in front of this tall building, looking at this building, can hurt my neck, I entered into the office and greeted by the receptionist, I gave my details and was sent to 12th floor.

" hi, may I help you,"  spoke a tall lean man, with blue eyes looking at my confusion, he looks like a welcoming person, with his warm smile.

" Thanks, I am a new employee here, looking for MR. Liam, head of the department." I said smiling.

" oh, first Liam is enough, and second I am Liam you are looking  for, nice to meet you..." he said

" Madhura," I replied looking at him.

" Nice name," he said smiling.

after that Liam introduced me to some of the employees who were very nice people, one of them is very welcoming and we go to know each other very well, her name Stacy,  finally my first day is not that bad.

At the lunch break, they took me to the cafeteria, I was stunned,  which is modern, Stacy had a friend named drake, who works on the 20th  floor,  other than we all are from the marketing sector, me, Stacy, mark, and Gloria.

" well, we have a newbie here," someone spoke, we turned our heads to look at the person, a girl with a tan complexion, she wearing a pencil skirt and a shirt which is showing her body curves perfectly, and her black and brown eyes complementing her tone perfectly.

" oh hey Candice," they said excitingly,

" Hello everyone," she said, smiled looking at me.

" How is work," Gloria asked her while eating her food.

" oh.. you have no idea, it's exhausting." she rolled her eyes.

" Candice works on the 20th floor, that floor is reserved for CEO and employees working under him," Stacy stated.

" why what happened? is there anything wrong with the beast again." mark asked her.

" darling everything is wrong with him, we can't predict his actions, he is so bipolar, sometimes he just listens to us patiently, sometimes he just barks his orders," Candice stated.

"but one thing is sure, he so handsome that any girl can fall for him," Gloria said dreamily.

" yeah, he is a handsome beast," Stacy said and we started laughing.

I am loving this office so much, I never thought this would so fun, the rest of the day passed in me learning the things and people.

" so, how was your day?" Harsha spoke, breaking the silence at the dining table.

" oh..it was good, it was fun actually," I answered smiling.

" that's great," he said smiling, did I mentioned anything about his smile, its most charming one with his cute dimples.

time skip

It a been two weeks since I started going to work, everything is going great than the past week, I made some friends at the office and our afternoon lunch breaks are filled with laughter while talking about our boss, well what can I do, they so many interesting things about him.

my relationship with Harsha is also improved a lot, although we fight a lot, he also very supportive, being lazy I am, sometimes he wakes me up in the morning so that I can go time, he calls me in the afternoon to check whether I had my lunch or not.

Harsha's pov

I was in my office looking at files of our new project and also glancing at CCTV footage to keep an eye on my employees, suddenly I heard a knock on my door, " come in" I said.

there go the craziest people on the earth walking through the door while smirking.

" don't you guys have any work ?" I asked annoyingly.

" well brother I  missed you so much, so I thought why not pay a visit to you and bhabhi," Vineet said while smirking at me.

the realization hit me, my eyes widened " are you guys out of your mind, what if she saw?" I whisper yelled.

" oh don't worry, I called her before coming here, she said she was busy in her work, besides we used a private elevator," Karthik said.

" oh look at you, keeping an eye on her, oh my god our lover boy here watching her every move, this not good," Ajay teased me.

" what no! I am keeping an on employees," I said defending myself.

" by turning every camera angle to her and only 12th-floor cameras are shown in your computer," he asked.

god! this is so difficult, " dude, look at that, some guy is flirting with her" Karthik said and an instant I looked at the screen only to earn laughs, today I am sure I am going to kills some people here.
