Chapter 1

CRYSTAL CARTER'S POV

I smiled happily as I waited for my mate. He's the beta's son.

I shifted a day ago, and I found him tonight, right beside me.

Today's the graduation party.

I just graduated high school.

Double celebration.

I licked my lips as I flailed my legs, excitedly waiting for him.

I have been actually crushing on him, but he has a whole lot of admirers.

Worse, he never seems to notice me.

So I had to remain hidden in the corner, as the school nerd.

Who would have thought that the goddess would offer my crush to me as my mate?

"Sweetheart" I heard his voice whisper, sending tingles through my body.

"Danny" I whispered in a strange half moan.

"Have you been waiting for long?" He asked with a smile, his face barely illuminated by the dim lights.

"No", I quickly lied with a smile on my face.

We were in hall C, he had asked me to wait here for him.

It was at the lonely edge of the school, away from the party.

I guess he wants to spend some time with me while the rest party.

He pulled me to my feet, making me face him.

My silly smile was still pasted widely on my face when I felt him kiss me.

I was shocked at first, but I quickly relaxed, letting him take the lead.

"Why are you still? Don't you want to?" He whispered into my ears.

"I want to, of course. I just don't know how" I whispered in embarrassment.

He smiled and continued kissing me.

I felt his hands on my boobs and froze, feeling uncomfortable.

We were in the classroom, this is not a good place.

I took a deep breath.

He's my mate, besides the rest were busy at the party.

Soon, I felt him loosen my strapless gown.

"Danny!" I whispered in shock.

"Shhh! Just a little touch" he whispered and began to knead my bo**s while kissing me.

I began to shake in pleasure as he did things to me.

I felt his fingers lift my gown, bunching it around my waist.

He slipped his hands into my pants, fiddling with my body.

I moaned in pleasure, shaking.

He suddenly pulled away, giggling.

It soon became a full blown laughter.

The light immediately came on, surprising me.

Loud cheers of laughter and mockery arose from different corners of the room, making my eyes dart around in dread.

I gasped in shock at the sight before me, shivering.

"There's a mole on her ass, pretty bouncy boobs she got there!" The alpha's daughter said, chuckling.

All our classmates were in the room, looking at me like some fool.

I stared at Daniel in shock and saw the smug look of disdain on his face.

"You slut! Horny little prostitute. You were even willing to do it here," he said giggling, while grabbing my breasts and jiggling it like a toy.

At once, the class roared with laughter.

"I doubted it when he said she's a slutty w***e, desperate for s*x. I mean look at her, she's always buried in books. I guess we never found out her real color because no one asked her out" a boy said, their eyes roaming all over my body.

I pulled down my gown and hurriedly tried to cover my chest.

Tears of humiliation and betrayal stung my eyes.

"I Daniel Mccarthy, reject you, slutty little dog, Crystal Carter as my mate!" He said viciously, looking at me in disgust.

My eyes widened and I immediately staggered as mind numbing pain blinded me.

I fell to the floor holding my head in pain, the mocking words from the audience slashing my heart, even more than the pain of the rejection and betrayal.

"I Crystal Carter, accept your rejection. I will never be your mate till the end of time!" I whispered bitterly, forcing myself to my feet.

I saw him wince in pain, obviously trying to endure the pain of the mate bond breaking.

I tried to hold down my shame and slowly walked out of the room with my head held high.

However, the moment I left the hall, I took to my heels, running faster than lightning, towards our house while tears streamed down my face.

Soon I couldn't hold back the cries of humiliation.

I was crying loudly as I ran barefoot out of the school, despite being miles away from home.

I didn't even pick my purse before I made my escape.

I will have to trek since I don't have money to transport myself.

Going back was never an option.

Thunder rumbled in the sky and soon a heavy rain storm followed, adding to my dismay.

Even heaven is conspiring to make this night totally terrible for me.

I cried even louder as I ran in the rain, my loud cries muffled by the sounds of thunder and wind.

A shard of bottle pierced my foot but I didn't stop running.

This pain was nothing compared to the one in my heart.

I entered our house crying profusely and saw my mom and elder sister, also crying while hurriedly loading boxes and crates into our truck.

Shame immediately washed through me.

Did they find out already?

"Thank goddess you're home baby. You were not picking up. I thought they killed you too. I was going to go look for you while Anna drives to safety" she said, crying loudly.

"They didn't physically hurt me, but it hurts so much. My heart is in pain. I have never been so humiliated" I wailed in shame.

"They humiliated you? Quickly enter the car. If the guards get here, we will all die. Hurry!" She whispered fearfully, making me wonder why she's afraid.

They're just mischievous and wicked teenagers.

She's a powerful adult wolf.

Anna didn't say anything, except cry.

She dragged me into the car and mom quickly drove off through the backdoor which led to the forest track, instead of using the main street.

"But why are we leaving? How about dad? He's not yet back from the mission. Won't he get worried?" I asked, blowing my nose, feeling guilty they're moving because of the shame I caused them.

They began to cry loudly, confusing me.

"Dad's in the back garden. They killed him. Mom stole his corpse and buried him in a shallow grave before you came home" Anna whispered, clenching her fists.

"Excuse me? Whose dad? I saw dad yesterday. Which grave? What are you talking about?" I whispered shakily, my lips trembling as I asked the questions.

What the hell happened?
