The Abused Runaway Luna

Chapter 2: Hello

Aleksandr POV

“My mate,” I growled as I ripped Samuel apart, limb by limb. I had told him not once.. but twice. And I wasn’t about to have to tell him again.

“Alpha..” he grumbled as I ripped his hands off with my teeth. I told him.. to take his hands off of her.. my mate.. the mate I’ve dreamt of for years. I knew the moment I saw her eyes.. I’d never forget them. They’re emerald green, and I could stare at them for days at a time.

When I had captured this pack, my first instinct was to survey the lands. This is a massive pack with over 1,000 wolves. Now I’m alpha to it as well as many others. And now.. now I have my emerald eyed luna.

I looked back at my mate and saw her on the ground passed out. The bruising already showing up on her neck from Samuels' hands. Blood smeared on her legs and face. I looked back at Samuel and I grabbed his throat between my sharp teeth and growled as I ripped it out.

I stepped away and shifted back into human form almost instantly. Running to my half-n***d mate and pulling her into my arms.

“Where’s the doctor?!” I bellowed through the mind link. I linked everyone so that he could answer me directly.

“Here by the vehicles, Alpha. I came with you guys.” His voice flitted through the link.

“Meet me at the airplane. And bring your bag and a couple of blankets.” I growled as I lifted my mate. She’s so small.. so fragile. My eyes glued to her br*asts for a moment, the bond telling me to claim my mate.

I finally pulled my eyes away only to see her stomach and chest covered in scars. A roar ripped through the air as I looked at them. Someone has hurt my mate.

“Alpha, what do we ha-“ he noticed the small woman laying limply in my arms.

“Save your Luna.” I snapped. One of the omega nurses laid a blanket on the grass and I laid down my mate.

“Alpha.. may I ask.. what happened?” Ivan asked.

“Just save your Luna, Doctor,” I growled. I couldn’t keep my eyes off of my mate.. I had never liked Samuel.. but this? This was reason enough to take his life.

I walked over to Toras and took a deep breath.

“What happened, man? Samuel hasn’t come back yet.” Toras said all too knowingly.

“I killed him.” I said bluntly and loud enough for the rest of my men to know what happens when you f*ck with what’s mine.

“I’ll have the warriors find his body,” Toras said. He watched along with me while the Doctor studies my mates wounds. Her neck already looks so bad. Worry was apparent in the Doctor’s eyes.

“Alpha.. I have to.. umm.. I have to remove the rest of her clothing..” Ivan said.

“No,” I growled in his face.

“Alpha I need to see the extent of her injuries. I can’t stop the bleeding if I can’t see exactly what I’m dealing with. ” The doctor argued even though he was a millisecond from p*ssing himself from fear.

“Everyone leave,” I growled at the warriors who surrounded us.

Toras led the men back to the pack house and the doctor continued working on my mate.

Ivan began cutting her pants and when he’d finally removed them, the omega nurse gasped loudly.

“Alpha..” the doctor's voice was low and fearful. I took in the sight of many massive scars and bruises. The chunk of skin and muscle missing from her thigh, followed by a wolf bite. That must’ve been Samuel.

I began to see nothing but red the longer I looked at her legs. There wasn’t an inch that hadn’t been scarred. Fur sprouted from my skin as I shifted, wanting nothing other than to kill the person who could cause my mate such pain.

I roared so loud, you’d think it was time for battle. And it was. I just had no idea who with, yet. But when I find out.. I will make them burn.

I heard a small whimper and I turned around, sniffing the air and I saw my mate move her head. I walked over to her, my claws digging into the ground until I stood beside her.

“I vow to protect you for the rest of my life..” I said, even though she couldn’t hear me.

“We have to get her to the hospital, Alpha. I have her stable for now.. I’m not sure if she’ll make the journey but I’ll do everything I can,” Ivan said. I nodded my head and shifted back. I will not lose my mate.

I grabbed her, wrapping the blanket around her to shield her nakedness. I climbed into the back of the jeep with her in my arms next to the Doctor, then we began the hour journey to the hospital.

“She seems to be doing pretty good right now.. she has a lot of healing to do.. especially since she’s human.” Dr. Ivan said.

“Human? I thought I sensed a wolf.” I said.

“I thought so too. But I’m seeing no signs that she does. She has no enhanced healing.” He said. I looked at my sleeping mate through the glass and took a deep breath.

“So she’ll be okay?” I asked and he nodded his head with a smile.

“But.. there is something else. Clearly, you’ve seen the state of her body. She’s been through some.. hard things. You might want to move slowly and easily with her. We don’t know anything about her or what she’s been through.. but by the looks of it I can tell you it was nothing short of torture.”

My blood began to boil at the word t*****e.

“Alpha, she’s waking up.” The nurse stepped out and said. My heart began to race in my chest and I walked up to the door. I couldn’t calm my shaking hands.. the ones that have been aching for eternity to feel my mate.

A million questions ran through my mind. Who is she? What happened to her? Who harmed her? But if I ask those questions now, it might overwhelm her. Dear Goddess, I need to calm down.

I closed the door behind me leaving the others outside. She would need to get used to me. She avoided eye contact as I made my way over to the chair beside the bed. Shifting herself ever so slightly to always keep me in her senses without having to actually stare at me. I took a seat in the chair and looked at the shivering ball of a woman next to me.

“Hello,” I said.
