I watch as my mate tosses and turns into bed. I want to hold her.. but she’s still so hesitant with me. I shouldn’t have snapped and scared her.. I shouldn’t have told her she’s my mate. I put a lot of pressure on a girl who went through hell.
The nurse has been trying to get her to talk. Or to at least try. But everything she tries she shuts off. Faint, raspy whispers are all she can get out. Yes, it’s better than nothing at all. But I can tell it’s not enough for her.
