“Are you ready? You have 5 minutes.” Vavara said. She looked around the hallway nervously before we both heard footsteps.
She quickly teleported down the hall, and as soon as she made it, my mate walked into view.
“Oh dear Goddess, you scared me,” Cecily said. In an instant, Vavara grabbed her wrist and teleported with her.
“What the-“ Cecily stopped talking and sniffed the air. She turned around slowly, looking up at me in shock.
“What’s going on, Vavara?” Cecily asked.
“We have 5 minutes to talk. Just.. hear me.” I began. She hesitantly nodded as Vavara disappeared.
“Is your husband.. does he hurt you?” I asked. Her eyes widened as she looked around.
“Wh-what? N-no..” she shook her head as she lied.
“I can help you.. I can speak to the King.” I said.
