“Hey, everything okay?” Alek asked once I found my way back to the dining room. I gave him a nervous smile and nodded. I’d transformed back to my human form before I arrived.. the last thing I needed was Cecily asking questions or even fearing me.
“Yes,” I said. I wanted to tell him.. but not right now.
I’d made a huge mistake and I knew it. What would Cecily think? What would my Father think? Since Jackson himself said he wanted to go, Aiden had every right to take him without repercussions. But.. I did force him.. or.. whatever it is you call it.
“I need a drink.” I sighed as I walked over to the bar and began to pour a drink. I decided one glass wasn’t enough, so as soon as I finished it, I took grabbed the bottle and held onto it.
