Estina's POV
The chilly atmosphere which is the first thing I see as I open my eyes tells me it's morning, then I raise my eyes to the clock on the wall, it's 4 AM. It's then that Lucian who was sleeping by my side opens his eyes. The first time we are actually sleeping together on the same bed. While we were in the palace in the past, we used to sleep on separate beds or in fact, separate rooms.
The bedside lamp gives a dim illumination to the room, I look out through the floor-to-ceiling window, the outside world is just as calm as ever, drops of water streams on the glass, then I return my eyes to Lucian, his blue eyes catches me, making me hold my breath. For the first time, I'm really getting obsessed with them.
