I woke to the beeping of machines whilst feeling the coldness off the cuffs on my wrist. The machines beat faster as my heart raced in panic. Dr Manning came in to check my vitals and spoke softly to me. "Are you okay Cassie?" I shook my head I was anything but. I knew this is what would happen but Dr Black hadn't believed me. "Talk to Dr Black please" I pleaded in a whisper to Dr Manning seeing the two officers who had arrested me outside. Hoping they couldn't hear me. "I already have Cassie... I've contacted my friend in the station down the road to see if she can help you" his voice was low and measured. "Now I need you to pretend to be very sick again so I have cause to keep you here" he whispered as he closed the gap between us. Making it look like he was checking my cannula. I nodded
