Detective Whistler looked over at the silent Detective Riley, it had been forty minutes of not exactly a cold shoulder. But he could feel she wasn't warming to him any time soon.
Which he knew since his impolite greeting had caused her to be more upset than he thought it would. Now she had been more than okay with ignoring his surly ass. But Lieutenant O'Connor had caught him 24 hours into his 72 and ordered him to let her ride with him or to leave the dying case alone.
