“Sir, young master Cale is not in the school.” The assistant called his boss about the news.
“What!?” Gio burst angrily at his assistant. He immediately stepped on the breaks. “Did you check the whole school? What about the teacher? And the guards!? Didn’t the principal boasting about their top notch security!?”
“it is said that he was in the park when the body guard needed to use the toilet—”
“Go. Find. Him. Now!”
“Yes sir.”
Without ending the call, he steps on the gas.
He forgot. He actually forgot about him. He’s so busy managing two company that he doesn’t have time to the child. He forgot that this is the first day of the child in elementary. This should be celebrated right? Especially when he skips kindergarten and immediately into grade 2.
Dmn. He thought it’ll be easy. For the last two months, he didn’t need to take care of the child he's very mature and rarely act like his own age. He thought, it won’t be a problem. But he forgot.
He sped up the car as he thought on how Cale alone in the park playing by himself.
….
Meanwhile, because it was rushed hour, the cars is not moving anymore, so Amber decided to run towards the nearest hospital or clinic or anything that could help the little money bag to stop the bleeding nose.
She was running with bared feet the passersby is looking at her with odds. She doesn’t care, little money bag might be dying because of blood lost, exaggerated? No. One thing she knows.
When Rose and Amber is in college, Rose run towards her in panic. She thought something might have happened to her but it wasn’t Rose, it was Nathan.
Nathan got injured. It wasn’t severe, just an accidentally cut when cooking but Rose panic and ask Amber to drive them the nearest hospital. Amber laughed at that moment but when she explained what it means, she also speed up making her almost sleep in jail overnight for running away from the cops. But at least, she saved a life.
Nathan has one of the hemophilia. Amber is not sure what type but she sure as hell that 49% of probability that this boy could get that disease.
That’s why she doesn’t care what she looks right now or how tightly she’s hugging the little money bag in her arms, what matters is that this child won't die.
Cale observed the strange person. She was stranger, he doesn’t know her but he remembered her as the woman who wants the money of his parents. At first he was scared of her, because of the obvious look she gave to him. She look at him like some object in her salvation.
But… his also a stranger to her. She doesn’t even know his name or less knew his existence. Maybe that’s why she didn’t come when that happened. Or when in those two months she was not there.
Maybe his mother really trusted this person. She’s not a liar like Uncle said.
Cale doesn’t know anything, he’s only five. What would he knows? But seeing this stranger in pale with cold sweat and breathless its obvious that she’s concern.
Cale tap her shoulder when she was waiting for the go signal in the pedestrian, the strange person look at him, he shows her that his nose stops bleeding.
“Bleeding stops?”
The boy nodded and Amber breathe in relief. “Good job!” in her relief she kissed his forehead, it was quick and soft, like a habit. “Do you want ice cream?”
The boy nodded and he smiled.
