Ferdinand Feghoot, long employed as an intergalactic troubleshooter, had been summoned to the Galaxy’s Most Danger-ous Animals Zoo on Pollux IV, where the literal-minded inhabitants had assembled the specimens from thousands of planets in the Galactic Federation. The head zookeeper immediately took him on a tour.
The zoo, which covered the planet’s smallest continent, was truly impressive. Ev-erywhere, Feghoot saw creatures he knew—and feared.
“Ten million exhibits,” the zookeeper said heavily, “each a safety success—except one.”
“Which one?” Feghoot said.
