Chapter Seven Lights in the Sky Valanandir awoke in darkness. His circumstances were no better than the last time he had regained consciousness since his capture. He was in a small, wooden building with no windows and the bare ground for a floor. The walls were covered with hooks and shelves; all were empty. He wondered what this place was. It certainly didn’t look like a prison. He suspected it was a storage shed of some kind, hastily cleared out to hold him. He ran gentle fingers over his temple and winced. How long had he been here?
