“Kee-Kee?” Kiara was up instantly at the sound of her name. It had been six hours since Christy had injected him; six agonizing hourswondering if her solution would actually work. “I’m here, Cullen. Right here.” She reached out, gripping his hand in hers as she tried to swallow the tears in her voice. “Oh baby, don’t cry.” Cullen tugged on her hand, making her tumble down into the bed beside him. “I almost lost you.” She whispered, brokenly as she snuggled into his embrace. “I’m not going anywhere, baby.” He assured, placing a comforting kiss on the top of her head. The tears that she’d been holding in since the whole ordeal started finally began to fall as she held Cullen close to her heart, and fell into a troubled sleep. “So, how are you feeling?” Allie’s voice called to him.
