"No Mom! Please don't do this to me. Mom I am your daughter. Why are you giving me to them?" The 8 year old Leslie cried as her mother packed her things. She's young but she knew that she won't be with her mother anymore. Her mother had a teary eyed and tired face. She's 24 years old and she doesn't know what to do to keep her daughter near her. "Mom, I promise to be a good girl. Please keep me Mom. I am already a good girl Mom. Why will you let them get me Mom?" Leslie, tugged her mother's shirt but it's as if that no matter what she does, her mother's decision won't be taken away. "Quit it Leslie! You're making this harder for the both of us. I'll get you back, I promise. It's just temporary. And I know that you're a good girl, just stay that way. Okay?" Her mother said as she kneeled in front of her and hugged her. "I'll hold on to that Mommy. You promised me thag you'll take me back. I will wait for you." After awhile, they heard the car engine. and a knock on the door. Her mother quickly opened it and there came a woman who's in her mid 50's and a man in a tuxedo. A stern look is written on her face, like a principal who's strict that seems to forbid you to run in the campus' hallway. She looks sophisticated and gracious yet she got the strong aura. "Who's she Mom?" Leslie asked her mother with a pale face. She's scared of the woman. "Don't worry, she won't hurt you. She's your grandmother. She'll be the one to take you and to take good care of you." Her mother said after composing herself. "Good morning, Señora Esmeralda. Leslie is ready to go." Leslie's grandmother nodded her head and told the man to get Leslie's thing while she get a cheque out her purse and hand it to Leslie's mother. "Here, take this." "No, I can't. I'm sorry. Just take good care of my Leslie. Please." Leslie's grandmother took Leslie's hand and proceed to go. "Let's go Leslie. Say goodbye to your Mom." Leslie immediately ran to her mom and kissed her saying, "Mom, please come get me. I'll miss you so much. Mom, you promised to get me." "I will. Now go. Your grandma is waiting for you. I love you my baby." Her mother sobbed. "I love you more Mom. I'll be kind." She turned to her grandmother and told her that she's fine to go. Her grandmother took her hand once more and they left.
