Today, Mussolini"s Italy invaded Albania. They faced no significant resistance from the Albanian army, which was ill-equipped to resist. The Albanian army was almost entirely dominated by Italian advisors and officers and was no match for the Italian Army. There was some resistance by small elements in the gendarmerie and general population. King Zog and the rest of the Royal Family have fled into exile.
