Chapter 3: First Encounter

It's Wednesday in the morning, It is the day of our regular class where we will meet our subject teachers, I am actually quite nervous and hoping that all my teachers will be nice.

As usual, I get up early so I'm not going to be late, since our first subject for today is Mathematics I already expect that my professor in that subject will be mean.

When I entered our room I already saw Ashiana reading w*****d at her phone so I tapped her to say Good morning and started to mock her.

" Good Morning Girl!" I tapped her shoulder before I placed my bag on my seat and stood up in front of her.

" Shut up, It's too early for you to ruin my mood." She said without looking at me.

" But I haven't done anything yet." I started smiling because I knew I already succeeded in my plan and that is to teased her.

" But I know you will. " She gives me a death glare.

" I'm not, I just want to count your bangs" I gave her a smirk and started ruining her hair and she ruined my hair too.

While we are in the middle of the war we heard a familiar sound that made us stop.

" That's Whistle by Blackpink!! " We both shout at the same time

" Are you a blackpink fan?!" I excitedly asked her

" Yes!! are you?!" She said while giving the same energy.

"Of course!! Wait, where is that sound coming from?" We started to find someone who made that whistle because we were really amazed on her talent and we discover that the one who made it was the tall girl on the 3rd row.

Me and Ashiana talked about Blackpink a lot and I'm so glad to find a Blink (Blackpink Fan) like Princess and Anne I'm sure we'll get along. in the middle of our conversation, a short woman who looks around 25 years old introduces herself as our teacher for the subject of Mathematics. She looks intimidating at first but when she starts to get along with us she's kinda chill teacher.

While Ms. Fuentes read our attendance Ms. Ponytail... I mean Aliyanna entered our class.

What's with this girl? like, how could she come at this time? I mean It's already 6:20 am She's too early for our second subject!

" Hi, guys!" She even greets her friends with a bright smile and starts talking to them normally.

Time passed by and It was time for our second subject which is Araling Panlipunan or History. When Ms.Vasquez entered our room she immediately said that we would have another seat plan for her subject because she wanted us to socialize with our other classmates. unfortunately, Ashiana was already placed in another seat while I was still waiting for mine.

When I already got my seat the next name that Ms. Vasquez called was Aliyanna Mira so I was shocked that we would be seatmates this time, but I wished it was Natalie. but gladly Natalie's seat was beside Aliyanna so I was one seat away from her !!

In the middle of our discussion, Ms. Vasquez asked something about our lesson and since I was familiar with it I raised my hand and volunteered to answer her question. I made sure that my answer was good because It was a good time to impress Natalie so she would notice me.

" That was nice!" Aliyanna said as I got back to my seat

" Thank you" I replied while my attention was on Natalie because I wanted to check if she noticed me.

Guess what?!! When our eyes met she smiled at me!! My heart filled with happiness that time so I didn't notice that Aliyanna was talking to me.

" Hey, are you okay?" she asked so I came back to my senses

" Sorry, what was that again?" I felt embarrassed for her.

" I said what was your section in first year?" she said while laughing at me.

" Oh, I was section Obedient last year"

"Really? Who's your adviser?"

" It was Ms. Castro, why would you ask?" I asked her because she looked interested in my former adviser.

"Nothing, How is she as your adviser?"

" Ahm.. She's strict but kind and funny at the same time"

" Really? She was also my former teacher at Science before--" While Aliyanna and I were talking unfamiliar voice interrupted her.

" Hey, Dre you were so talkative there" When I saw that it was Natalie I started to sit properly. When I looked at her I saw her looking at me again!!

Am I dreaming?!!! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! my brain can't process it anymore.

"We're just talking about Ms. Castro." Aliyanna said while laughing

" Oh... It was Castro again-- Wait, do you even know her? "

" Hey, Dre now I know her name, She's Yshane. Right?" Aliyanna said and looked at me, I just nodded in response.

Aliyanna and I keep on talking about Ms. Castro I don't know what's on her and why she loves to talk about my former adviser but I will admit that it was nice talking to her. I really enjoyed her vibes it feels like I would love talking with her every day.

Time passed by and It was already our break time so I came back to my original chair which is beside Ashiana.

" Hi Girl I missed you! " I act like I'm going to hug her.

"Miss you your face! Stop that !!" Ashiana stopped me to hug her.

" Aishh You're so K.J" I said while pouting

"Whatever." She said and rolled her eyes.

" Hi, aren't you going to canteen" I was surprised when the girl in front of Ashiana asked us.

" I don't know asked. Ask her" Ashiana said and looked at me.

" Ahm.. No, I'm not hungry. How about you?" me asked her back

" No, I'm saving money. By the way, I'm Cristal. And you we're?"

" I'm Yshane and she's Ashiana nice to meet you"

" You know what? let's not be so formal it's giving an awkward feeling"

" Yes, Your right" I agreed to her.

" Why didn't you join your other friends?" Ashiana asked pertaining to Aliyanna and Natalie.

" They have other friends in section 1 that's where they going and I don't want to be out of place" Cristal explained her reason.

" How long have you been friends together?" I asked her.

" We just met on the first day of school."

" I heard that Aliyanna has a crush on Ms. Castro is that right?" Ashiana asked Cristal. I don't know that she knows something.

" That's right. Aliyanna is Bisexual and she admired Ms. Castro since her first year."

" Oh... So that is the reason why she loves talking about Ms. Castro--."

While we were talking we heard a voice that made us stop.

" Cristal, what was that? why do I hear you say my name?... Are you gossiping about me again?..."she said while raising her right eyebrow.

" We're just talking about your crush" Cristel said while laughing

" Hays Cristel you're really a gossiper. Can't you just shut your mouth while waiting for us? "

" Hey Aliyanna, Can you stop complaining? Since you're all the same. " Natalie stop them from arguing.

But it didn't affect them, they kept on fighting until our next teacher came.

* After 4 hours*

It's started raining since our 4th subject so I expect that It will keep raining until our dismissal.

" Ashiana, did you bring an umbrella?" I asked Ashiana because she seemed worried about the rain.

" No. I guess I'll just wait till the rain is gone at the gate."

" Would you like to come with me to our house?" I invited her to our house because I didn't want her to be sick because of the rain and since our house is nearest to our school than to her house.

" No thank you, It is so embarrassing if I go to your house since we've just met each other 2 days ago."

" Oh c'mon, I insist so don't reject my invitation" Me while pouting and hoping that she would agree to my invitation.

" Okay, fine." She gave me a small smile.

" Yey!! But please don't expect too much from our house, since it is kinda small but don't worry our floor was made of tile..." I'm really happy that Ashiana will come to our house and she was my first friend who will meet my parents.

" Don't worry, Our house was not so fancy too, and it's okay to me as long as I'm safe." I can see in her eyes that she's telling the truth.

" Okay, come and join me on my umbrella."

While we were walking I saw a familiar face at the Ice cream stall and my eyes got stuck on her. when I kept looking at her our eyes met and she waved and smiled at me.

Wait... Natalie waved at me??!!! Am I dreaming?!!

Due to frustration and excitement, I was unable to wave back at her anymore. until me and Ashiana get past to the ice cream stall.

" Is there anything wrong?" I just got back on my senses when Ashiana talked to me.

" Huh? No." I didn't tell her the truth.

" Okay."

When we got to our house those who welcomed us were my parents who were currently eating their lunch. As we entered our house I told Ashiana to mano to my parents and she did that. [ Mano is the Filipino way to show respect ]

" Yshane, Why don't you tell me that you will bring your classmate here today so I can prefer something for her."

" It's okay Untie, I'm not hungry yet." Ashiana looks shy but it seems like she's enjoying it.

" Here you guys can eat now since me and your mom were done eating " My dad inviting us to eat lunch.

" Wait you must change your clothes first because it seems like you got wet by the rain. Yshane, Let Ashiana borrow your clothes first."

" Okay, Ashiana let's go to my room first and change our uniform."

When we went to my room Ashiana said she didn't want to eat because she thought it was too much and so embarrassing.

" Yshane, I don't want to eat lunch here. It's okay if we wait to stop the rain here. it's too much."

" Oh c'mon girl. It's already 1 pm at the afternoon we should eat lunch" At first she kept on saying No to me but I keep on pushing her so finally I won.

While we're eating my father keeps on asking her about her life it seems like torture to Ashiana so I stop him.

" So where do you live--"

" Pa, Please stop interviewing her. Ma, can you help me with this?"

" Villamor, let's go upstairs you're so too talkative" My mom led my father to their room.

" Since the rain has already stopped, once we are done eating I'll take you outside and just ride a pedicab. okay?"

" Okay, Thank you for today. "

" Don't mind it. See you tomorrow"
