The food was great. Obviously, because Matteo would never bring them to a restaurant that didn’t have good food. They all went with some kind of seafood; Sandra ordered the sardines in saor with polenta and the spaghetti with seafood, while Matteo ordered the squid with vanilla fennel cream and the ravioli stuffed with scallops and shrimps for Aurora, and the Venetian style octopus with polenta and the Vicentina style codfish for himself, although they ended up kind of sharing everything. The sad part was, that they were too stuffed to get any dessert, but Aurora enjoyed having the taste of seafood on her tongue for just a little longer, instead of replacing it with something sweet. They decided to walk down to San Basilio to digest some of the meal, and took the traghetto to Giudecca
