Sandra cursed quietly. Guido had dropped off a new book for her, and she had no idea where he found it. Every single damage that could have been done to the book, had been done. It was burnt on one side, had water damage on most of the pages, some of them stuck together, the rest was torn, a few were probably missing. But she wasn’t one to give up. Her love for books made that impossible. She’d made it her mission to save every single page that was still there, one way or another, and it didn’t even matter that she didn’t know yet if there was anything remotely useful or interesting in this one.
