Chapter 2

The next day turned out to be the event. No wonder he had been bugging me so much. He was desperate. We arrived at the club after a good dinner. Liam was excited. He hadn't had a girlfriend in almost a year. It would be good for him to find someone new. We both got name tags that had our ages and sexualities listed on them. I discarded mine shortly after we got in. I was not looking for love tonight. However, it was not long before we had a few girls come over to talk with us. I sipped on my drink and played the shy and quiet pretty boy. Meanwhile, Liam was laying on the charm on any lady who walked over once they caught sight of us. Eventually, he began talking with one girl. They sat close and laughed together. I slowly edged away from the budding couple, ready to make my escape as soon as I could. Leaning against the bar, I was approached. I turned to tell the girl I wasn't interested and was surprised. A man stood next to me. He wore a confident smile that went all the way up to his deep brown eyes. His hair was a wavy strawberry blonde on the lighter side. I could almost see the blonde catching the light like glitter. His name tag said he was 28, though he looked like he could pass for my age. I also noted that it said he was bisexual and his reason for approaching me was clear. "No name tag? Is that your move at these sorts of things?" His voice almost felt like it vibrated my ears. It was deep and smooth. "I guess I just have to ask your name then." He smirked softly as he leaned against the bar next to me. "You look familiar to me." I rolled my eyes slightly at the cheesy intro. "Not a move. I'm not interested," I said as I glanced towards Liam. He and the girl were now kissing. Good for him. I took that as my cue to leave. I finished my drink and stood straight. "I'm going to be going now. Good luck to you though, Gage." I said with a soft salute. He was handsome, so I was sure he would get plenty of options. He looked towards Liam with a soft frown. As I turned and started to leave, I felt a shiver run up my back. A familiar mix of fear, anticipation, and excitement. A dom was in the club. They were either pissed and their aura was coming out or they were using their gaze on a sub in my direction. I didn't dare turn to find out which it was. I was not willing to be caught in a dom's gaze. Especially without my safe word. Despite how my sub instincts screamed at me, I left the club and made it home. The walk home was quite a distance, but I still hadn't calmed down when I got back. I dug in my drawer for my hidden pill bottle. It would calm my instincts for a while. I found the bottle easily only to realize it was empty. Damn. My phone dinged in my pocket. I pulled it out to see I had a message on the matching app. What perfect timing. If it was a dom I already knew we could meet up tonight or tomorrow. I froze as I opened the message. So your name is Oliver, huh? I knew you looked familiar. I stared at Gage's picture and message. How had he matched with me? I had set it for only women. Then I remembered that I had forgotten to switch it back after yesterday. How dumb of me. What was I supposed to say to him? Sorry, this is a mistake. I don't like guys. Does that matter? Your limits say no s*x anyway. It's just a way to quell your urges, right? You could play with me just as easily. I felt my body react to the suggestion. Could I really meet up with this guy? Didn't you find anyone at the event? Someone caught my eye but they left. That's not a no though. What's your safe word? I hesitated. Giving him my safe word would be as good as confirming that I wanted to play with him. Yet even over text, he made my body scream. Had I gone too long or was it just because I had met him already? Would it really be so bad though? He was willing, and he had clearly read my limits already. Yet something didn't seem right. Why would you want to play with me when you are looking for someone? My limits say no relationship too. I know. I read them. You aren't the only one with urges. Let's play together and help each other out. I haven't thought about how doms might need it too. I guess they might be better at hiding it anyway. They didn't react like subs did after all. I knew I could trust him not to do anything I didn't want as soon as I gave him my safe word. Doms had no choice but to listen to it. It was the only command a sub could give. I considered my options. I scrolled through the potential matches and didn't spot any familiar faces. It would take a couple of days to set up with a new dom. I sighed. Purple. It's purple. Wonderful. I could use a little fun tonight, and I am guessing you could as well. I'll send you an address to a hotel near me. If it's too far, we can figure something else out. I looked at the address and my eyes went wide. That was near me too. It wasn't the closest hotel, but it was the next one. He lived not far from me. I bit my lip. That's not too far. I waited for several minutes for him to respond. Perfect. Room 457. I'll get there first. Just knock and I'll let you in. No need to bring anything. I felt my gut clench, but this was all too fast, wasn't it? I barely knew this guy. Yet I couldn't deny that he was attractive, even though I didn't usually like men. Plus, I wondered if that was his aura I had felt at the club. It was a strong one. Would I be able to handle him? Yet every fiber of my being was screaming at me to go. I had really waited far too long. Be there soon. I decided it was worth it to go. Then I could disable my profile and never speak to him again. One night was all I needed.
