When my eyes opened once more, I felt a brief confusion. Something didn't feel right. Gage was sleeping in the armchair in the room. I could see his fingers twitching against his arm. I felt like I had to get up. I threw off the blanket and placed my bare feet on the floor. I walked out of the room and Lidia jumped up from behind the desk. She rushed over to me.
"Are you okay with being out of bed?" She asked in worry. That was when I realized I didn't have an IV in my arm either.
