I leaned my head against Gage's shoulder as I enjoyed the warm water and the soothing massage against my back. He didn't seem to mind because he didn't attempt to move away. I yawned slightly. Today has been a long day. I closed my eyes softly and took a deep calming breath.
My eyes opened and I felt confused. I didn't feel the surrounding water. As my vision cleared, I realized I was in bed. I was tucked under the warm blankets and snuggled in Gage's arms. When did I get here? When did I even fall asleep? I lifted a hand from Gage's chest and rubbed my eye softly. His fingers twitched lightly against my hip. Another new pattern. I rubbed my other eye lightly and then very carefully twisted out of Gage's arms.
He grumbled softly in his sleep and rolled over. I made my way to the bathroom
