Gage returned a few minutes later fuming. He ran a hand through his hair several times as he paced in the room. He grumbled, and I tried to wait for him to calm down a little before I talked with him. I could feel his aura leaking out in his anger. "Gage?" I said finally when he didn't calm down. He flinched at my soft voice and his anger vanished. He rushed to my side and took my face in his hands. "I won't let anyone hurt you this way, Oliver. I don't know who it is, but no one gets to tell you who you belong to. I promised you that and I meant it." I could see the anger in his eyes as he spoke, but his words were soft for me. "I'm scared," I admitted, and Gage sat on the bed next to me. "So am I." He whispered gently as he pulled me into his arms. "We will get through this together
