I had stayed up the entire night making my list and as many calls as I could. With most people asleep, it was tricky, but I was working on it. So, when there was a sudden knock on my door, I flinched harshly. Was that man back? I opened the door without checking and felt the fear settle into my body. Gage's eyes went wide as he saw me. I felt instant relief as he stepped forward into my place and shut the door. He took my face in his hands.
