"Adrian has been stressed about Cardan too. Archer is still facing punishment and Austin doesn't care much. He wants to stay away from the drama."
"How typical of him. Would he rather be the center of drama?" Primrose rolled her eyes.
She patted Cassius on the shoulder like a good child. "Whatever. Don't take it to heart. I'll just kick his ass if he comes to me. You do whatever is needed."
His distressed face melted her heart into a puddle. She pulled him closer and wrapped him up in her arms. With slow pats on the back and soft voice, she tried to comfort him.
"He doesn't understand the consequences. He wants to go down the same path that almost destroyed us last time."
