"Well, I guess we're going to be stuck in here for yet another day," Lilly groaned as Damien and I lay beside her.
"Yeah, just be patient, Omega Lilly. We'll have plenty of time together once you're out of the hospital," Damien reassured her, brushing her cheek.
"How is it easier for you to resist her advances and have so much self-control? I almost lose control every time I touch her!" I asked Damien. We shared the same mate, but neither had completed the mate bond, which drove me insane. I had to push my wolf deep into my mind so he wouldn't take over and try to mate and mark Lilly. Damien made it look effortless.
"Years of practice," Damien chuckled. "I've held myself back from her for years, so I guess I'm better at controlling my urges."
