I realized I had dozed off with Lilly nestled against me in the back seat. "How long was I asleep?" I inquired, turning to Damien, who was still behind the wheel.
"About 30 minutes. Did Lilly suck out all your strength and energy?" Damien chuckled teasingly.
"Pretty much," I laughed, acknowledging the truth in his jest.
"We'll arrive soon. Let's allow Lilly some time to rest after shifting. Shifting can be quite draining for her. Her inner wolf will crave hours of playful running and frolicking," Damien explained.
"I know, I've shifted before, remember?" I chuckled, reminiscing about my own experiences.
