"They're right. We can't keep all of this from Lilly," I said to Damien, frustration evident in my clenched jaw. My anger was directed towards my dad and Alpha Zane, who seemed to be withholding crucial information. Nurse Ashley, shaking her head, walked away, likely aware that Lilly didn't need the added stress.
We exchanged nods with the security guard and entered Lilly's hospital room together, all four of us.
"Oh, I didn't know your fathers were coming for a visit," Lilly exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise and warmth. "It's good to see you, Alpha Leon and Alpha Zane."
"It's nice to see you awake and better. I was happy to call your parents and Becca to give them a positive update. They miss you too," Alpha Zane said to Lilly, a genuine smile on his face.
