Castle Ward

We walked what seemed like days in complete silence. I couldn’t help but inhale deeply every few breaths. His scent was amazing. He walked so close I could almost feel electricity between our skin. I snuck a few looks at his gorgeous face. His green eyes were squinted in frustration. Frustration at me? I couldn’t tell. 

    They brought me to a giant clearing in the middle of the forest that took up a vast majority of the land behind my tiny town. The ground was frozen but the trees held all the snow around the clearing. Little tufts of damp, yellowish grass poked up from the soil. 

    Red pines circled the area that looked untouched by mankind for centuries. We stopped at the border of pines. No one dared take a step forward. I certainly didn’t. 

    “Nick?” a voice questioned from seemingly nowhere. 

    “Yea, yea, lets just get past this. Accept her, please.” He waved off the voice.

    “As you request, Alpha.” A groaning noise creaked through the trees. Suddenly, a castle appeared in the field, filled with people, light, and sound. An older woman threw some clothes down the castle wall. In turn, the group of sexy naked people dressed themselves in T-shirts and basketball shorts.

    “Thank you, Nina.” Nick stepped forward, dragging me with him. I looked around in wonder. I’ve seen magic but not the kind that can hide an entire castle! 

    The building was made of old stone, a mixture of grays, whites, and blacks. It was beautiful and well structured, at least from the outside. We came to a large wooden door marked with stone sigils. I assume that’s where the spell that hides this place is cast. 

    Guards let the door drop, which I guess is actually a bridge. Nick took me through the threshold and I was swamped with so many different scents and sounds I felt sick. My head began feeling woozy and I blinked a few times. Voices and cries filled my head until that’s all I could hear. Horrible screams of pain rang in my ears. Then the busy ward went black.
