Cora was walking down the cold, dark street she was on her way home from a long day at her new collage. when out of nowhere a mask man bumps into her she turned around but before she could say anything he was gone. cora looked around in confusion then looked down and saw a black book in front of her. She bent down and picked the mysterious book of the the floor. there was no title or any kind of words. she sighed and pleaded the book in her bag and walked home to see her father.
Cora finally got home and walked through the door expecting her dad to be making food but he was no where to be seen. cora dropped her school bag on the table and went to look for her missing father. "dad, dad you here" she shouted but there was no reply. she sighed and pulled out her phone and rang him but still no answer she was getting worried now. cora heard a knock on the door and ran to see who it was she opened the door and saw the same man from earlier but this time he was with a women. she was taller then the man and had purple hair, purple eyes , she was also covered with many tattoos. then man stood next to the women had blonde hair with pure blue eyes. "who are you" asked cora looking at the couple.
"I'm Codie black and this is my friend Peter Gordon we are here because you have something of our and we want it back" said the girl looking into cora eyes.
"I have it inside you welcome in" said cora and the couple both walked in. Codie looked around and saw prints on the floor. reaper prints she put a hand on the g*n she was carrying which was hidden by magic. she looks towards peter. He looked towards Codie and nodded. knowing what Codie was on about. cora walked out the room and peter walked closer to Codie.
"we need to be on high guard if they what we think they are then a reaper must be around somewhere, we can't let it take or hurt the human" peter said looking at his leader and Codie looked at him and nodded.
"I know peter but what he supposed to tell the girl that a reaper has taken her father and its after her too, we can't tell her its f*******n" Codie said and peter sighed. Cora walked back into the room.
"here you go I'm sorry for taking it I didn't know" cora said and Codie smiled and took the book of cora and put it in her bag. then out of know where a tentacle rapped around Cora's leg and pulled her in the darkened room. Codie pulled out her g*n and peter got his sword and the ran towards where cora had been taken.
Stood there was a black figure "Codie that's no reaper that's a demon" shouted peter and Codie shot it dead in the eye and it let go of cora and hissed in pain. "get out of here now" shouted peter and cora bolted for the door Codie grabbed on of her sliver knifes and threw it at the demon. the second the blade touched its skin it turned to dust.
"come on we need to find cora and take her back to the base maybe they can help us decide what to do with her since some how she can see demons and I know for a fact that normal humans can't see any supernatural creature there's something about her that make her special" Codie said. Codie and peter left the house hoping to find cora so she doesn't go to the police and tell them what happened.
"Codie isn't that her there" said peter pointing to a girl who was sat on a park bench crying her eyes out. Codie sighed and walked over to the girl. peter followed not to far behind leaving enough space for the two girl to talk.
"hey cora, I just want to talk I know what you saw tonight must have scared you a lot but running away from me and peter isn't the right solution, we can help you and we can help you find your father its our jobs so how about you come with us and we will explain everything I promise but not here its too dangerous for any of us to be out here right now" Codie said in a calm voice and cora stopped crying and nodded. Codie looked at peter and nodded.
peter pulled out a glass ball and whispered into it and threw it into the air and a portal appeared. Codie held out her hand and cora took it. they all jumped through the portal put cora passed out she couldn't take the pressure of it. Codie chuckled and picked cora up bridle style and carried her through to the other side.
