Codie and peter arrived at the base, Magnus came over to them and noticed the cora in Codie's arms. "dear sister why did you bring a mortal back here you know you could get into serious trouble for this or worse you could get your powers stripped away and your memory wiped and I could never see you again" said Magnus and Codie sighed.

"Magnus your always such the drama queen I brought her here because she can see demons she is no mortal Magnus, she has to be some kind of supernatural creature, mortals can't see demons or us if we use our powers" Codie sighed and Magnus let out a sigh of relief.

"OK so why did you bring her here you have to have a reason, I know you don't just find a lovely looking women and bring her back to the base there has to be a reason............... or is there something your not telling me" Magnus said wiggling him eyebrows at the last past and Codie sighed.

"no Magnus I am not in a relationship ship OK, me and peter was out and he bumped into the mortal and he dropped the book and when I realised it was gone it was to late we when back to the girls house and her father had been kidn*pped and she was about to as well, at fist we thought it was a reaper but then out of nowhere a demon attacked we got the mortal out safe and the book and luckily I was carrying my silver knives" Codie said and Magnus nodded.

Codie walked out the room leaving Magnus and Peter to talk. Codie needed to take Cora to the infirmary just to make sure she didn't get busy and also to get away from Magnus. Codie walked down the hallway and saw Alex. "hey Alex what you up to" Codie smiled.

"hey Codie back from your mission a little early, how did it go" asked Alex and Codie sighed and looked at the unconscious girl in her arms.

"Alex can we talk later I need to get Cora to the infirmary she passed out while we was going through the portal I need to make sure that she's OK but I promise I will find you after and talk to you and we can maybe get a drink from the bar a few blocks away"Codie smiled and Alex smiled back.

"I would love that Codie" Alex smiled then walked off down the hallway, Codie smiled to herself and took Cora to get checked out. Codie finally made it to the infirmary and Izzy was there talking with the nurse probably about her wrist since she broke it a few weeks back. I walked over to a spare bed and carefully laid Cora down on it then walked over to the two women.

"nurse, I need a second I need your help the girl over there her name is cora smith she need a check up and also can you do a blood sample I think she half blooded but keep it off recorded s just in case I could get in a lot of trouble" Codie said and nurse nodded and got to work straight away.

"hey Codie, how you doing" asked Izzy walking over and Codie smiled and gave her a hug. Codie let go and smiled at her best friend.

"hey girl I am OK and guess what ................ i asked Alex out for a drink" Codie said and Izzy laughed and smiled. Izzy knows that Codie has had a crush on Alex for years but never got the change to tell him since one of them always busy with missions and other thing. "come on Izzy let's go I will come back in a few hours to make sure cora is OK" Codie said and they both walked out.

"how about you ask Derek to look after her, its not like he's doing anything important right now" said Izzy and CODiE got out her phone and messaged Derek saying hey der can you do me a favour, go to the infirmary and watch a girl named cora she's new and I don't want her waking up and running off somewhere and getting herself into trouble. then cora and Codie walked off to go find the others and tell them what happened and need to fill in a report.

Codie and cora walked into the lounge and saw Alex, Peter, Magnus all sat on the sofa. Magnus and peter was talking and Alex was on his phone. Codie sat next to Alex and cora sat next Magnus. "hey Codie you going to tell me what happened yet" asked Alex and Codie chuckled.

"yes I will tell you but Magnus already knows, OK so anyways me and peter was sent out on a mission to find the king of the vampires so we took the book that might help us narrow down which vampire it might be when some how peter bumped into a girl and dropped the book but at the time we didn't know, once we found out it was missing we new who had got it so we went to find it. once we got to there house we asked for the book back they gave it to us but her father was kidn*pped at first we thought it was reapers because there was reaper prints but then when cora came back with the book a demon attacked we destroyed it and came back hers cora passed out so I carried her but cora saw the demon and I know for a fact that she can't be a mortal so I asked for a blood test" Codie said and they looked at her in surprise.

"sounded like you had a long day" said Alex and I nodded and smiled.

"we sure did let's just hope that cora is OK but I am still curious of what she might be" I said and lead back in my chair and looked at the roof.
