Damien I step out of the room and immediately close the door behind me quietly. The hallway is dim, lit only by the low wall lights that stay on during the night. Everything is still. Too still. I pause for half a second and listen. No footsteps. No guards nearby. Good. Reece was right. Dinner shift. I move immediately, staying close to the wall as I walk. I know every corner of this house. Every blind spot. Every weak point in the security pattern. That makes this easier. I pass the first corridor and slow down when I hear faint voices ahead.
