He huffs out a quiet laugh. “Didn’t feel like a mistake.” Oh my God. “Not when you closed your eyes,” he adds, voice dropping slightly. “And pulled me closer.” “Okay stop,” I cut in, pointing at him. “I… I… gotta go. Bye.” I spin around before he can say anything else and practically sprint into the building. I don’t stop until I’m inside. Then I lean against the wall, pressing my hands to my face.
