Chapter 4

Serene's POV

I walked in from the back door of the pack house too the smell of Mom's pancakes, bacon, eggs and fresh fruit. I turned the corner of the hallway leading to the kitchen and I see mom finishing laying out breakfast with the help of the Omega staff members. Before I could greet my mom, "I know you are not walking in here without taking off those muddy shoes are you?" Mom said. Realizing that I had not taken off my shoes, I knew if I did not turn around she was gonna lose it. I turn around and take my shoes to the laundry room to be cleaned later after breakfast.

As I walked back to the dining room, I got the feeling that someone was watching me, but I do not know who. It almost feels familiar but at the same time weird. I shake it off and continue to serve myself pancakes with whip cream, strawberries and bananas. Luckily, I made it in time to the table before the three dorks ran in pushing and shoving to get food. These were the guys in my life.

"Hey man, don't hog all the bacon." Adrian said to Nick.

"You're one to talk gordo. You literally have a stacked mountain of pancakes." Nick replied.

Travis snickered at both Adrian and Nick. Once he did, both of them looked at him and pointed at his plate.

Nick, "Do not even laugh stupid your plate is worse than ours. What you are feeding an entire football team."

Travis responds, "Hey, this body is in prime condition, have to keep up with my carbs and the gym. Especially when I look this good and blessed not my fault"

Adrian playfully shoves Travis, shaking his head laughing.

Nick rolled his eyes, "Whatever dude, come on let's eat."

Everyone was now all sitting at the table. Travis ended up sitting across from me and smiled at me for a moment before he began to eat. Goddess his smile can light my day, but his muscles seeing them how his strong arms look as he wears the sleeveless shirt i couldn't take my eyes away.

"Helloooo...Serene did you hear me?" Nick says to me snapping me out of my almost drooling moment.

"Huh...sorry I spaced out for a moment what's up?" I responded.

Nick repeats himself, "I said you really almost broke Maria's arm off she pissed you off that much?"

I looked at him with an expression that was clearly readable as 'Seriously!'. Travis stared at me. I had to carefully choose my words as she is his girlfriend.

"Well it is training and remember Alyx said treat training as it is real and life or death situations." I responded. "So I don't see in any reason behind why I nearly broke her arm."

Travis looks back down and continues to eat. I couldn't tell if he was fine with my answer or upset.

"Honestly no offense Travis Maria deserved it whether or not it was training even if she didn't piss off Serene." Elena chimed in.

"Well, personally I agree with Serene on what Alyx tells us. But no matter outside of training depending on the situation she doesn't need to have her arm broken for it. Again depends on the situation..." Travis said.

Elena interrupts Travis, "Either way don't like her but that is my opinion. But anyway we are doing movie night pizza and wings with Letty once she is done working. You guys wanna join us?"

"What movie?" Adrian says with a half mouthful of food.

Before Elena responded all we see is our mom flick Adrian on the side of his head. "I did not raise starving wolf pups/childern in this house. You have manners don't you?" Mom asked sternly.

Adrian rubbed the side of his head and swallowed his food. "Yes, mom sorry. What movie Elena?".

"Sisterhood of the Traveling pants." Elena replied.

"I am good gonna continue studying for my exam but thanks." Adrian replied

"Me and Travis were gonna talk with Dad about tomorrows meeting." Nick replied as well Travis nodding in agreement.

"That is better, your father should be here soon. Serene your party dress, including Elena and Letty's dresses have been delivered. Shower first and I want you girls to make sure they fit with no concerns." Mom said.

"Yes mom." I responded.

"Also boys I need you to be up earlier to help with set up and especially greeting everyone before the king's arrival." Mom looks to Nick, Adrian and Travis who were still stuffing their faces.

Seeing her eye twitch already was enough to show mom was annoyed. But before my mom can say something to them, my father hugs her from behind nuzzling his face into her neck. "My beautiful Luna, relax for a moment I hate seeing my love stressed. Once the boys are done eating you can tell them everything."

"I swear for all that is our Goddess, you have such a way with your words Marcus. But if I do not say what needs to be said before tomorrow who will?" Mom replies to Dad with a coy teasing tone.

Dad responds, "You have of course my love. But lets eat and then talk with the boys as future Alpha, Beta, Gamma they have responsibilities. Right boys?"

"Yes Alpha." all of the guys responding to Dad.

"Good now sit my love and I shall get your plate." Dad guides my mom to her chair.

The love that I see every day from my mother and father is truly amazing. I loved when I was growing up mom would always tell me how her and dad met. Mom was visiting from a neighboring pack to Azure Eclipse's where she was talking with my grandma. It was the Harvest festival where all neighboring packs visited for the Lunar rites during the festival. Mom said that she wore her a-line chiffon burgundy dress for the festival.

As the night continued mom was about to sip her tea when she turned to her left to see her mate my father. Dad walked up to mom and said, "I am going to make you my wife."

Mom knew that dad was her mate but was taken aback by his boldness, she replied "You are one crazy man, not even a hello or your name.". Laughing softly to herself and shaking her head. At the same time there was Dad mesmerized by her beauty and her smile.

It was an instant that the connection between both of my parents was unbreakable. They would write and call each other everyday no matter what. Mom told me that one night they were on the phone together while he was away visiting the King prior before he passed.

Talking on the phone for hours and it was late in the evening. Dad said "My love Sandra, please look out at the sky with me and let's look at the stars.". Even though they were thousands of miles apart, it was still the same sky.

Mom replied, "Yes, Marcus." Mom sets down the phone and walks out to the balcony of her bedroom. She looked at up at the clear sky and she knew that dad was looking at the stars with her.

I knew that the love my parents have for each other I prayed to the Moon goddess for a love just as sweet and romantic.

I continue to eat my food and finished my plate. I start to get up and look to Elena. "I am going to shower and take a nap. I will text Letty to have her call me when she picked up the food so I can be up. What about you because it is 8:30am roughly?"

Elena looks at her phone, "I am gonna shower here and do the same I brought a change of clothes. But ya text her in our group chat."

"Sounds like a plan I will see ya in a bit. Mom, Dad we are gonna start heading up stairs but once Letty is here we will try on our dresses. Love you both." I quickly give them each a kiss on their cheeks.

Walking upstairs and making my way to my room I realized I should shower before bed,* sighing* "After having a long morning of training, definitely exhausted and sore but I am okay." I said to myself. "I wish to be happy and content with whoever my mate is Moon Goddess. Whoever is to be my mate I will be forever grateful." praying to myself. Tomorrow I will meet my wolf and I will soon know who my mate is. I turn over and grunt softly, " I am so anxious it is hard to sleep. Better shower first then I can sleep before movie night."

I took a long hot shower which now I feel so refreshing and now time a for a nap. I begin to close my eyes but then I hear a soft whispers, 'Soon my child you will be awakened and...' I could not make out more of what the voice said. I fall into a deep sleep.
