CHAPTER TEN —THE WEDDING

1163 Words
Their tale was already known worldwide. From strangers to friends, from heartbreak to healing, from pain to proposal. At this point one chapter remained. The one destined to endure eternally. --- 💌 ONE WEEK BEFORE “Feeling anxious?" Mia inquired, perched on Ella’s bed scooping ice cream directly from the container. Ella chuckled quietly. "A bit. Alright, quite a bit." Mia smiled slyly. "You? The Love Coach? Feeling uneasy about romance?” “Hey " Ella remarked, flinging a cushion in her direction "it feels different when it’s your own.” She gazed at her wedding gown suspended near the window. Plain, white and gentle, like the dawns glow. Her heart pounded merely at the thought of stepping down that aisle. “Jayden rings every hour, " Mia joked. "Are you certain he isn’t more anxious than you?” Ella grinned. "He likely is. You know his routine. Walking back and forth acting like he’s inspecting camera batteries.” Both of them chuckled. But deep inside, Ella was quiet. Not frightened. Simply brimming with a feeling. Like peace mixed with excitement. --- 📸 JAYDEN’S SIDE Meanwhile Jayden was definitely pacing back and forth in his apartment. His closest companion, Marco. I looked away. "Dude, take a seat. You’re about to wear a hole in the floor.” Jayden exhaled deeply, passing a hand over his hair. “What happens if I forget my vows?” Marco chuckled. "You? The one who earns a living delivering speeches? Calm down.” Jayden sat quietly gazing more at the ring box. “I simply… I desire everything to be flawless, for her.” Marco tapped his shoulder. "It already is. She said yes, remember?” Jayden grinned. "Yeah… she sure did.” He gazed through the window. At the sky shifting to orange. In a few days, she’d be his wife. For the time ever that term didn't frighten him. It seemed appropriate. --- 🌅 THE MORNING OF THE WEDDING That morning the sun ascended quietly. Tender, radiant and cozy. Outside birds sang as Ella sat in front of the mirror, her hands gently shaking. Mia straightened her veil. "You appear like a princess.” Ella grinned uneasily. "I seem like a balloon that could drift off at any moment.” Mia laughed softly. "That’s what love is, darling.” Her mother entered silently. As Ella looked back her gaze became gentle. “You appear stunning in my love.” “Mom, " Ella murmured softly, fighting back her tears. Her mother. Held her hands. "Your father would have been proud of you. You found someone who truly sees you.” Tears welled up in Ella’s eyes. "If only he were here to witness this day.” “He does, " her mother whispered gently. "He’s present, in each beat your heart takes.” Ella embraced her closely. --- 💒 THE CEREMONY The garden was perfect. Rows of chairs arranged beneath towering trees with flowers all around. Pinks, whites and gentle golds. A modest group assembled. Relatives, companions and some devoted supporters who had followed their story, on the internet. The music began. Jayden was positioned at the altar, his hands trembling. Marco murmured, "Relax, dude. She’s on her way.” Afterwards everyone rose. Ella emerged, strolling gently along the aisle. The rays of the sun struck her perfectly. Her gown shining, her gaze locked on him. Jayden’s throat constricted. His heart seemed as if it could explode. She was… everything. As she got close to him he murmured, "Wow.” She chuckled lightly. "Hold off on the tears for now.” The priest beamed. "We have come together to honor a love that would not surrender.” --- 💞 THE VOWS The priest faced Jayden. "You can start.” Jayden grasped Ella’s hands, speaking gently yet firmly. > “Ella Carter. Since the moment I encountered you my life transformed. You were chaos, laughter, and light all at once. You showed me that love doesn’t mean flawless. It means deciding on someone day after day. I pick you. When we quarrel, when we smile, when we age and turn gray. I will continue to choose you.” Ella brushed away a tear grinning despite it. The priest gave a nod. "What about Ella?” She inhaled deeply. > “Jayden Miles. You damaged my camera. You repaired my heart. You revealed to me that love isn’t a fantasy. It’s genuine, complicated and valuable. You’ve been my best friend, my peace, my storm, and my home. I vow to cherish you both in the noise of the world and in its silence. I vow to pick you. Repeatedly and endlessly.” Jayden’s cheeks were streaked with tears. The priest grinned. "With the authority granted to me I hereby declare you husband and wife.” “At last " Jayden murmured, drawing her close. Their kiss was soft — not just a kiss, but a memory, a promise, a forever. The audience applauded blossoms floated through the air and the camera. As usual. Captured every moment. --- 🎉 THE RECEPTION The reception was full of laughter, dancing, and love. Mia delivered a speech that caused everyone to laugh hard as they teared up. “To the pair who transformed heartache into material and material into eternity. Wishing your WiFi remains consistently strong!” All were laughing. Jayden and Ella sliced the cake, shared bites. Then danced beneath fairy lights. He spun her softly murmuring, "You’re the sight I cherish most.” “. You " she whispered, "are the story I cherish most.” --- 🌙 LATER THAT NIGHT Once all had departed tranquility returned to the garden. They sat side by side on the swing, beneath the stars barefoot clothed in their wedding attire. Jayden grasped her hand. "Well Mrs. Miles " he murmured gently. "What does it feel like?” She grinned. "It feels like home.” He gazed at the stars. "Do you know what I just figured out?” “What?” “We began with a camera and a damaged lens.” She chuckled. ". Now we’re an entire film.” He bent closer. Pressed a kiss on her forehead. "A romance. No scripts, no revisions. Simply us.” She gave a nod. "Forever.” They remained silent. The darkness enveloping them their minds, at peace their prospects limitless. --- 💫 THE FINAL SCENE Months afterward a fresh video was uploaded on The Love Coach channel. It started with melodies and Ella’s singing. “Love doesn’t necessarily begin beautifully. Occasionally it begins with disorder. An error, a camera, an incorrect path. However if you remain and develop it has the potential to become something ” The footage displayed segments of their expedition — the café, the laughter, the fights, the tears, the proposal, the wedding. The final scene depicted them clasping hands strolling toward the sunset. The words gradually disappeared: > “The Love Coach — The End of the Beginning.”
