After the blessing, they all looked at me and bowed. I don't know its purpose, but I think it is the tradition of the beasts once they gave a blessing to someone. Someone who does not look like them. I looked at everybody and smiled. I am very happy today. I can't express how glad I am with what they have done to me.
As I was busy looking at them, I found myself staring at my Mother and Father. They look happy and sad at the same time. Maybe, they are so glad because I am happy and sad. After all, I am going far away from them.
I am sure they are just worried about me. Especially that I have no idea what the outside world looked like. Even Araya and Damino lived in this forest for a very long time and have never tried to wander around.
I am confident that they are just scared. Scared that something might happen to me, and they are not even there to protect their daughter.
"Mom, Dad," I called.
"Daugther. Nothing could explain what I really feel right now. I am scared, sad, worried, happy, and regretful. I really don't know what to feel, but seeing your smile as if you won, it's incomparable," my Mom said and hugged me, "You are now at your legal age. It is time for me to let you go and let you live your life to the fullest."
"Mom," I called her, "Thank you for being the best Mother I ever had. I promise I will never, never forget all your teachings. I promise to be very careful and to eat always."
"That is good. If you ever broke that promise. I will find you and bring you back home," she replied and laughed.
"Now, now, it is my time to hug my daughter. Am I right?" My Father said and looked at me. Mother Araya rolled her eyes and gave way to my Father. Without any hesitation, I ran towards him and hugged him very tightly.
I know that he is the one who forced my mother to let me go. Among all the beasts here, he is the only person I am sure of who understood me. Who understand what I really want and what I really am. He has been guiding me for years now, all of his pieces of advice are true to life, and I will forever treasure them.
"I am going to miss you, my lovely daughter," Dad said, "Don't ever forget our training and all of those things that we thought you. You know how to fight, you know how to defend yourself, and the blessing that the beasts have given you will protect you from danger."
"Was that the purpose of the blessing, Father?" I asked.
"There is a lot of reasons why we bless with you. You will understand it in the future. You will find the reason for it throughout your journey," Father explained and moved away, "Don't forget, never to use the blessing in bad things. You know what Karma can do to you."
"I understand, Father," I replied.
"We are really grateful that we have taken you to our abode," my mother said, "You are a very good girl."
"No, Mom. It is because you taught me so well that is why I became the best daughter that you ever had." I replied and hugged them again.
"Go on and pack your things now. I will talk to the beasts. Pack every single thing that you need," Mother said and gave a kiss. I nodded at them and ran towards our house.
Without any second thought. I grab the skin of a bear that is in the corner of the room and started packing my things. While I was busy doing this, I can hear footsteps that are walking towards my room. I looked at the door and saw Az.
"Hey," I called her.
"Now, look at you, you are leaving me behind," she said and looked at me with sadness in her eyes, "I can't imagine living in this place without you, but I am not that selfish. I know you have been dreaming of going out and explore."
I dropped my things and walked towards Az. I hugged her tightly and closed my eyes, "You have been such a good friend. You will always be my friend, forever and ever. Don't worry. I will visit you guys soon."
"Do you really think that you could visit us here?" She asked, "I mean, you are going to some places that are so far from her. I don't think that it will be convenient for you."
"I know," I replied and let go, "But I want to see you all. You know me so much."
"Really? Maybe later you'll forget that we are here, waiting for you and you won't come back." Nakangusong tugon nito.
"That's not going to happen,"I replied.
It just nodded and walked into my room.
I continued packing until I was done. My belongings were just on the side so I thought of sitting on the floor first and take a rest.
A few minutes later I thought of getting up to go out. Tomorrow morning I will leave here. This is also the last day I can be with my parents.
I just have to make the most of this day to be with them. I don't even know what I can do but I'll just ask them their opinion.
Az looked at me and smiled, "What's your plan now?"
"Bond with you. Spend the night with you," I said and smiled, "I wish that even today, I could be with you all before I leave this place. I know I will miss you right away. "
"Well, I have a good suggestion," she said.
"What is that?"
"Why don't we lay a blanket outside and eat there. Then let's watch the moon and stars in the sky. I'm sure your parents will like that." She said happily.
