I ran into the bathroom, slammed the door behind me, and leaned against it with my forehead.

My eyes closed, and I listened as Sage began to freak out and pray for death from her higher power.

I chuckled listening to her be dramatic and screaming into her pillow.

Opening my eyes slowly, I groaned inwardly when I saw that I was still standing at attention.

“You take care of that while I go replay this blessing from our moon goddess over and over again.”

Jax laughed as he retreated to the back of my mind.

I rolled my eyes at his antics. Pervert.

Though I definitely needed to go take care of this monster hard-on before I went back out there and talked to Sage about the way things were about to change for us.

It's time I pursued my kitten; she needed to know where I stood with her.

She was mine and there was no way in hell that I was ever going to let go.

However long it took, and whatever she wanted, she could have it all.

I turned on the shower, a little sad about washing her scent off of me, but I needed a release and fast.

As I stepped under the water I heard Sage get up and begin pacing. I turned my attention to the problem at hand.

It didn’t take long to find my release as I thought about her moans before I exploded onto the shower floor.

I continued to wash myself so that Sage could have enough time to recoup her thoughts.

Hopefully, she’ll be open to the change in our relationship, and things will flow perfectly.

I’m actually excited that I don’t have to hide my feelings anymore.

I’ve been trying to distract myself these last 3 years with work and other women to keep myself from crossing that boundary with Sage.

No more of that.

Sage is the only woman I will ever taste, touch, or f**k from now on. I just need to figure out how to move forward first.

I turned off the shower and grabbed a towel as I stepped out to dry myself off.

I can finally think straight post nut.

I wrapped the towel around my waist and listened to check on Sage before I walked into the room again.

There was a lot of shuffling going on. I smiled as I thought about how silly Sage was being about this.

However, my smile quickly slipped into a frown when I heard the sound of her keys jingle and then the back door open and close that led to the garage.

“s**t, I should’ve realized that she was a flight risk.”

I cursed myself and rushed out of the bathroom. I was so wrapped up in the idea of us being together that I forgot how she felt about relationships.

I should’ve known this would happen.

Shit, I need to catch her before she high-tails it the f**k out of here.

“Sage! Kitten wait!”

I damn near broke my ankle trying to run and grab a pair of shorts from the drawer I knew she kept my clothes in.

I heard the car door slam shut and her car start.

I ran as fast as I could out the door to try and stop her so that we could stop but she had already backed her car out and

put in drive speeding off like a bat out of hell.

“s**t!”

I ran my hands down my face as I stood in the middle of the street watching her car disappear.

By the time I made it outside, she was long gone.

Even though I could shift and let Jax follow her to wherever the hell she was going, probably her dad's place if I know her as well as I think I do.

She damn sure wasn't going into the office like that.

Nah.

I better let her have a little time to digest what just happened.

This was not a good start to our soon to be new relationship.

I turned to walk my salty ass back into the house, making sure I closed the garage so that I could brainstorm.

I hadn't even made it two steps in the door and I've already changed my mind about giving her space.

I rush upstairs to my bedroom to grab my phone off of my bed.

If she thought she’d get out of this conversation that easy she was sadly mistaken.

I found her name in my recent call log under Kitten and swiped it to call.

I started pacing as I waited for the line to ring.

"I ALWAYS WANTED A BROTHAAAAAAAAA!!!! I ALWAYS WANTED A BROTHAAAAAAAAA!!! I ALWAYS WANTED A BROTHAAAAAAAAA!!! JUST LIKE YOUUU!!!!”

I huffed in annoyance as I followed the sound of the ringtone into Sage’s room.

Oh, she is definitely getting a piece of my mind now.

Why is she like this?

That girl has a new dumbass ringtone every week. I chuckle as I think of the irony that THIS song would be used for my contact.

I swear this girl never remembers to grab her phone. Of course, she left it. I frown as I stare down at my contact name:

I roll my eyes and unlock the screen. I keep telling Kitten to put a passcode or something on her phone.

Works in my favor at the moment so I won't complain.

I shrug my shoulders and change my contact name to { SOULMATE 💕 } and my ringtone to something way more

romantic.

If she has a problem with it then she can take it up with me. Face to face.

Just as I finished making minor accommodations to Sage’s phone, a text message came in from her dad, Roger.

Pop Pop ❤️ : “Hey Sweetheart, I need you to stop by the office as soon as possible. I have just received word that my brother will be visiting me soon. He hasn’t given me a date or time yet but I want you to be prepared. There’s something very important we need to discuss. ~Pop”

Before I could think about what Roger texted Kitten, another message came through.

Chipotle 🌶 : “Good morning beautiful. Last night, I dreamt of us going on our date, and you loved it. When can I make that dream into a reality? I can’t stop thinking about that gorgeous smile of yours. Call me if you get some free time on your hands.”

An aggressive snarl left my lips because who the f**k even is this guy?!

There were no prior messages exchanged, so I can only assume she deleted them or something.

I know we aren't even in a relationship yet, but this pisses me off.

I don’t give a f**k about any guy she may be talking to right now. f**k them, she’s mine.

My claws came out and then retracted as I tried to calm myself. An idea came to my mind immediately as I typed my response.

Me: "NEVER. Now delete my number and forget me you f*****g loser.”

I couldn’t help the mischievous smirk on my lips as I deleted the text thread and blocked his contact.

I slid the phone on the counter as I made my way through the kitchen and headed upstairs to get ready for work.

I’ll just grab it on my way out. My Kitten won’t need to entertain anyone else now that I’ve made my decision.

We’re going to have a nice long chat about where we stand with one another and what she means to me.

I know I’m not a virgin by any means, but I’ve never tasted another woman, and now I’m borderline obsessed with the heavenly juice that touched my tongue today.

There’s no way in hell I’m entertaining any woman ever again.

No more hiding how I feel or distracting myself from her with other women. I’m all in with my Kitten.

However long it takes to win her heart I’m willing to go at her pace.

I’m glad I never got into any serious relationships over the years.

I was very selective and very vocal about only my mate becoming my Luna so no she wolf would get any hopes or ideas about it.

I cut off anyone that started showing signs of being clingy.

I think my biggest concern is trying to get Roger’s approval to pursue his daughter.

Adopted or not, he loves her fiercely and considers her his own. His legacy.

He is old school as f**k and will quite literally try to kill me if I go about this the wrong way. No matter the history and relationship he has with our family.

If he knew I slept in Sage’s bed most nights he would rip me to shreds.

I shuddered just thinking of that stern look he gives that turns a grown man into a 4-year-old.

My dad would prefer I wait for my mate as long as I can before I think of taking a chosen mate, but when I tell him it's

Sage, I’m sure he’ll be on board.

He loves that girl almost as much as I do. This thought made me smile.

“Goddess I needed that....What did I miss?” Jax panted after coming back to the front of my mind.

Fucking pervert... I decided to ignore my wolf as I mentally prepared for today.

It was time to give Roger a visit at his office and discuss me taking Sage as my mate.... as my Luna Queen.
