Justice Memoria ( Seina's Point of View Part 1 )
"Thank you for walking me home," Yuki said, her voice and dark green eyes were always so soft.
"No problem, I couldn't let you walk home alone if you were so worn out," I smiled.
"Goodnight Seina, see you tomorrow." She smiled before turning around to enter the front gate of her home.
"See you tomorrow Yuki!" I called out before beginning to head to my own home a few streets down. Usually, I'd walk home with Keiko and Den since their homes were closer.
But with university coming up, I won't be able to spend as much time as usual with Yuki. I guess it's a pitiful thought to have.
Once I finally arrived at my front door, I heard my phone begin to buzz. I entered my home and quickly slid off my shoes.
"I'm home!" I called out to announce my arrival, taking my phone out of my pocket to see the text from Nyoko in the group chat.
"Is everyone home safe?" The text read.
"Yup!" Isao texted.
"Yeah, got back a few minutes ago. Did you make it back good Seina?" Yuki texted.
"I'm home!Encyclopedia of Spirits " I typed into the search bar.
I didn't pay much attention to the time, but it took a lot longer than I hoped to find a digital version of the book.
When I finally found it, it was on a cheap outdated site. The physical publishing was back in 1995, the author is unknown.
The site bugged a lot, but it was somewhat readable.
I skimmed through it to look for something of interest, most of it was what I heard of before from Hiro, Yuki, and Isao.
Although I couldn't do magic myself, I still loved to hear what those three had to say about it.
I stopped scrolling when a new term caught my eye.
"Guardians." It read.
Guardian angels were previously addressed. Was there a different kind?
"Similar to guardian angels, guardians are assigned to protect people. However, guardians are all assigned to one person and aren't connected to the Christian religion. Instead, they are said to be from the often-forgotten pantheon known as the Epómeni Geniá. This group of gods is often hidden in the shadows, and where the birth of witches. Each witch is assigned a guardian from birth, but all guardians must follow a strict code. That code is-" My reading was cut off when a loud banging was coming from the door.
"Seina! Are you done yet? We all have to go too!" My mom yelled.
"I'm coming out! Sorry!" I yelled back locking my phone, and both quickly and carefully exiting the bath and immediately drying myself off before getting dressed.
I ducked my head as a way to apologize as I passed my mom who was sternly staring me down.
Once I entered my room I shut the door and locked it behind me.
As I walked to my bed I began to question what I read in the bath. "Was Natsumi studying guardians? Why?"
I sat down on my bed and unlocked my phone.
"All witches have guardians... I should probably study this. Why haven't the other three brought this up before?"
As I thought to myself, I couldn't help but feel excited yet upset.
It felt as if I was unraveling a story that was tightly hidden away from me all this time.
