Suck it Jeremy Tate

1002 Words
I look to Jeremy, his eyes changing color. His wolf wants to take over. After a quick struggle, his eyes remain black. His wolf has surfaced. Slowly backing away, I find myself nearing Cooper. “I’m sorry for what Jeremy has done to you.” I freeze. His voice is much deeper than Jeremy’s. Did I hear him correctly? It can’t be. “I’ve tried to stop him. It’s just so hard, he is very strong-willed. I am not at my full strength. I am weak in this state.” A sadness radiates from him. His gaze downcast. He is ashamed. “You’re the one who would bandage me.” His eyes flick up to meet mine. “Yes. It was the least I could do. I couldn’t save you, but I could tend to you.” I can’t seem to find my voice. I’m still in shock. Jeremy is my mate?! How did he not know until… the scent covering spray. I just turned eighteen. I’ve been covering my scent this whole while. His wolf actually feels bad?? I assumed wolves hated me as much as their humans did. I start to get dizzy. This is too much! I thought my life was hard before! This poor wolf seems so sincere. “You have to reject us now while I have control!” “I…can’t. I know it will hurt you.” “He plans on using you! I can see his thoughts! He wants her.” I follow his gaze towards my sister, “as Luna. You will be his slave. He wants to continue to torture you and worse, sleep with you. You are an object to him! Now is our chance to save you! If it kills me, it would be a blessing!” Strong hands steady me. “He’s right.” I turn to meet Cooper’s gaze. “Nobody knows a person like their wolf.” “I Emerald Skye Ellis, reject you Jeremy Allen Tate. As my mate and my alpha.” His wolf goes down on one knee, clutching his chest. Smiling. I feel a burning sensation in my chest. Cooper holds onto my shoulders, keeping me from falling. “What is your name?” He looks puzzled by my curiosity. “I need to know the name of the wolf who saved me.” “I am Apollo.” “Thank you, Apollo.” We share a smile before his face starts contorting. “You need to run, he’s coming!” Cooper gets into a protective stance, placing himself in between me and Apollo, “You can fight him! You are stronger than he is!” Stepping forward, I reached out, brushing his cheek, earning a purr from Apollo. “In a perfect world we could be together.” A lone tear falls as I whisper. “If only I wasn’t so broken.” His once relaxed face turns to panic, “Mate isn’t broken! She is perfect! My human is broken! He is vile!” His eyes start flashing between his and Jeremy’s. Suddenly Jeremy’s baby blues are dominant. He flashes a wicked grin and starts stalking toward me. “Run!” Cooper commands, “I can take him, but it will be easier if I don’t have to worry about you getting hurt!” With that I hear the cracking of his skull, Cassidy behind him with a large stone in hand. Cooper is out instantly, maybe even dead with the amount of blood on the ground. “I am beyond worthy of being Luna!” She kicks his ribs, earning more broken bones. Despite being high maintenance, my sister is actually a badass. Poor Cooper's ribs are proof she is much stronger than she looks. “Good girl.” We both turn to Jeremy, her eyes displaying admiration, mine disgust. Slowly backing away from the chaos unfolding, I find the ledge of the nearest cavern. “Nowhere to run Em. You’re mine!” “But Jeremy! What about me?” Cassidy squeaks out. “I did this for you!” Pointing at Coopers body, she starts throwing a fit. “Do you know I could’ve been his Luna? His pack is bigger!! You promised me!! I’ll look so much better on your arm!! Nobody wants a sickly wolf less freak for their Luna! She has no…” “Enough!” Jeremy cuts her off. “I can have my cake and eat it to!! Of course, you are my Luna and you definitely will look better on my arm. I am keeping your sister. They say screwing your fated mate is the greatest feeling of all time.” An eerie silence falls over us. Everybody stuck in their own thoughts. Jeremy steps towards me, I take a step back. He repeats this again and again until I am at said ledge. “You’re out of options pet. Time to come home with us. You honestly should be thanking me. Nobody else will want you. I'll even let you be your sister's personal maid. You won't have to deal with anyone else but her.” The look of triumph on his face. The cocky bastard thinks I am going back with them to play house. I get an idea. This is my only escape. I cannot go back to that pack with them. I need to get out. My look of fear turns to a smile, earning concerned looks from the other two. “I’d rather die.” “Oh pet don’t talk nonsense it’ll be….” I don’t let him finish, I push myself off of the ledge back first. I flip them the double bird as I am falling. The look on their faces made it worthwhile. I wish I could thank Cooper for trying to help me. I wish I had time to tell mom what really happened here. I wish I wasn't so weak. I have so much yet to do, I wish I could have lived life.
