Instead of heading straight for the shower, Killian pulled her closer for one more lingering kiss, his eyes dark with a protective, nurturing warmth. "Stay there," he murmured. "I want to take care of you first." He disappeared into the sprawling marble bathroom, and soon the sound of rushing water filled the suite. When he returned, he led her to a bath he’d drawn—steaming and fragrant.
