Raya smirked, turning the phone around so he could see Chloe's texts. "Well, Tiger, it looks like your grand exit caused a bit of a scandal. Your PR team is having a meltdown because you skipped out on your own birthday cake, and my best friend is currently plotting my murder for leaving without saying goodbye."
Raya’s eyes went wide as the phone vibrated again, a rapid-fire succession of texts from Chloe lighting up the screen.
