CHAPTER FORTY-TWO Trev’s morning was nothing short of busy. Up earlier than planned thanks to the insistence of Mayhem that he was neglected and dissatisfied with the new arrangements, he’d let both cats out before making coffee. The quiet house overnight was odd. After living alone for fifteen or so years, he’d settled back into the routine at home as if he’d never left. Having his mother around was nice.
