WE LAY OUT ON THE BED AFTER I CLEANED HER OFF. Christine was silent while I held her, and I could tell she was thinking about what she'd said. However, it was unavoidable. The sooner she realized what our relationship was like, the better.
"By the way," I added, "I am clean." I'd never f****d a lady without using a condom before, and I was routinely tested. Christine's health report was clear, too, because I'd checked it as soon as I opened a background check with her. I needed to know whether she had any infections.
