Six months later.
Kaytlyn parked on the side of the road and entered a nearby cafe. She stepped inside and looked; maybe because it was the weekend, it was quite crowded here.
Kaytlyn's gaze landed on a single small table at the far end of the corner, presumably empty. Kaytlyn hurried to the place.
When she arrived, she found a briefcase neatly placed next to an empty chair, on the table, there was an unfinished coffee cup and an expensive luxury laptop. Kaytlyn looked around to find their owners, if she could, she would like to share a table here.
"Please stay out of the way."
Kaytlyn was startled by the masculine voice behind her, the moment she turned her head, Kaytlyn was overwhelmed, she even forgot to breathe. In her head, all she could say was, “Oh my god! He was the most beautiful man she had ever met.”
"Girl." The man repeated, dark blue eyes staring into Kaytlyn's blue eyes.
Kaytlyn shyly averted her impolite gaze, quickly getting out of the way for the man to pass by. "Sorry."
Seeing the man sit down in a chair, Kaytlyn came over and stammered, "Do you mind if I sit here?"
The man didn't answer, just raised an eyebrow at Kaytlyn, as if asking her, "What do you think?"
Kaytlyn was very shy, seeing that just smiled and turned on her heel to leave. But it seems she didn't see the date when she went out today. David was holding Lisa's hand as they entered, they looked extremely affectionate. And it seems David has seen her.
Kaytlyn thought to herself, hoping that he would see her as invisible and that they would be like strangers passing by. Unexpectedly, Lisa was thick-skinned, not only not embarrassed, but also grabbed David's hand and pulled him towards Kaytlyn.
"Kaytlyn, don't you have a seat? Do you need my help, my husband's friend is the owner of this place?" Lisa smiled politely, but Kaytlyn knew she was laughing at her.
Oh, my husband? are they already married?
David saw that Kaytlyn hadn't changed much since the day of the breakup, he smiled rather wryly. “Kaytlyn, how are you these days?”
"Going alone? Poor thing, from childhood to adulthood, she was always alone, her fate was very bad, no one wanted to be with her for a long time." Lisa laughed, occasionally touching her protruding belly.
The corners of Kaytlyn's mouth curled up, she guessed right, six months ago she wasn't pregnant at all, but now it seems to have come true.
Kaytlyn smiled softly, her words sharp: "You're going to be a mother and my mouth should be a little cleaner."
At the time Lisa wanted to argue, her phone rang, looked at the caller to the corner of her lips, twitched a few times, then said a few words to David, and then went out to answer the phone.
Kaytlyn was too lazy to talk to them, so she wanted to leave immediately, but David shamelessly pulled her hand back, talking with deep eyes. “Kaytlyn, I'm with Lisa just for the sake of the baby, I don't have feelings for her. Can we go back to the way we were before?”
Kaytlyn's beautiful eyes lowered slightly, she looked at David with disgusted eyes, she just thought he was shameless, didn't expect him to be so shameless.
“Sorry, but I already have a boyfriend.” Kaytlyn smiled politely.
“How is that possible? You still love me, love me so much.” David shouted excitedly, his eyes widening fiercely.
The man behind Kaytlyn heard these words too and raised his eyebrows slightly as he looked at Kaytlyn's clasped hands behind her bag.
At this point, Lisa also finished answering the phone, when she entered David immediately obediently and quietly, the appearance just now was just like Kaytlyn imagined herself.
As she looked at David's maddening gaze, Kaytlyn wanted to end up with him completely, or else he would come to her house every day to annoy her.
I don't know what Kaytlyn was thinking at that time, but she sat in the empty seat next to the strange man who had intended to chase her well earlier... When she finished, Kaytlyn regretted it, she'd rather have left earlier, in case What if this man chased her away? Surely she would become a laughing stock to David and Lisa.
Kaytlyn counted in her stomach one, two, after three she was sure to be kicked off the chair by him. But no... the man didn't do anything, just stared at her expressionlessly, like he'd met a madman.
"Is this your boyfriend? You betrayed me by going out with another man?" David couldn't help but scream, successfully attracting the eyes of everyone present at the time.
Lisa's eyes lit up when she saw the man sitting next to Kaytlyn, David had been the best in the past. But compared to Kaytlyn's man, David was far behind.
Lisa didn't understand why Kaytlyn was always so lucky.
Lisa showed a seductive smile, standing in front of the man who made unintentionally provocative actions: "Didn't think Kaytlyn could find such a wonderful man as a boyfriend?"
Kaytlyn felt uneasy in her heart, she turned her head and whispered into the man's ear like a plea: "Please help me, please help me once."
Kaytlyn's actions in Lisa and David's eyes were very sweet as if they were whispering to each other.
The man raised his eyebrows, revealing sharp eyes, and a deep masculine voice: "Yes, I don't like noise, please go away. And please be respectful, she is my girlfriend, if you still insult me, don't blame me for not being respectful."
This attitude of dismissing guests is very clear, Lisa is so embarrassed that she blushes, pulling the crazy David to leave.
Waiting for them to disappear, Kaytlyn chained herself outside to keep her distance from the man, hurriedly apologizing: "Sorry, I was just reluctant to bother you like that. I'm leaving now."
"Wait." The man said, "I just helped you, shouldn't you also repay me?"
Kaytlyn froze, her hand holding her bag was also stiff, she smiled wryly: "Yes, what do you want? May I invite you to dinner?"
"There is no need then. My name is Nolan." Nolan finished talking and looked down at his computer, looking like he was a typical workaholic.
"That's a great name, it suits you very well." Kaytlyn smiled and sat back in her seat, though she didn't know what Nolan wanted her to do, but just watching such a handsome man made her happy.
"Come here." Nolan didn't look at her, but Kaytlyn knew he was talking to her, and she didn't dare delay walking over and sitting next to him as she had when she met David.
At this moment, the door opened and a beautiful woman walked in. Beautiful hourglass figure, curvaceous curves, and a beautiful face like a statue. Kaytlyn stared blankly at each of her graceful steps, knowing at a glance that she had a noble background.
What Kaytlyn didn't expect was that the woman went to her desk, or in other words Nolan's.
"Nolan." The girl who had just arrived called Nolan's name seemed very friendly, but Nolan's attitude was the complete opposite.
The watery eyes of the girl who was looking at Nolan as she turned to Kaytlyn burned again: “Who are you?”
Kaytlyn wasn't sure how to respond, so she turned to Nolan for help. Nolan raised his head: "It's my girlfriend. Azura, you should avert that gaze.”
Azura shot Kaytlyn tearfully: “What about our engagement? How can you do that behind my back?”
"I never accepted this betrothal, this is just a promise that the people who promised it have been dead for more than 10 years." Nolan calmly replied.
Now Kaytlyn was able to roughly understand what was happening, which meant that Nolan, like her, wanted to borrow a screen to dispel the intentions of the haters.
"You are despicable!” Azura shouted, drawing everyone's attention.
