Redemption of the fallen Angel

Luke

"Salome, my dear , come sit " Luke gestures towards a sofa in the office.

Sally walks over to the large dark leather chesterfield and sits nervously.

She looks at her feet with hands clasped on her lap.

Luke stands before her an impressive 6 foot 7 inches. Strikingly handsome, his green eyes flash with anger.

Salome takes a sharp intake of breath as he walks towards her.

"Tell me what she's done this time" he speaks gently, despite looking like he could kill Salome.

"My lord, Lilith is pregnant," she shakes with fear as she speaks.

"Again?" laughs Luke. "I suppose that's not news, the w***e of hell is always seducing men and birthing demons.

Why did you request an audience to tell me such unimportant trivia?"

Salome braces herself against the sofa for the upcoming anger. "She didn't f**k a human man. Lilith has been impregnated by an Angel."

Luke stops laughing and the colour drains from his face. His eyes turn from green to red and he whispers to Salome..

"Sally, get the b***h here now."

Lilly's POV

Ugh this brat inside me is kicking now. I swear I'm getting bigger by the minute.

I remember I have a lunch date with Angelo, and decide to dress to accentuate the pregnancy bump. My plan is to guilt trip him as much as possible, he will be unable to leave me by the end of the day.

I decide on wearing a flowing white sun dress, adding a belt above my bump. I add cute tan leather sandals and an expensive matching handbag.

Catching my reflection in a mirror, it's obvious I'm pregnant. Satisfied with how I look I leave for the restaurant.

Angelo's Pov.

I'm sick at the thought, of meeting Lilly again. I am not able to be able to father children, and she's trying to pin her pregnancy on me.

I wait at the restaurant for Lilly to arrive. I'm convinced she must have been with another man. There is no other explanation for this pregnancy. I'm not angry at all, just have to tell her I cannot produce a child.

It is impossible for a human and a celestial to breed. Biological incompatibilities.

I plan to tell her as gently as possible, there is no sense in being spiteful to a pregnant woman. Perhaps she's not sure who the father is and not deliberately being deceitful. After all, I did not request to be exclusive and monogamous with her. She knew I enjoyed others. It's a forgone conclusion she also had other men.

Lilly arrives and I rise to help her to her seat.

She looks pregnant , there's no mistaking her obvious shape.

I order wine and an orange juice for her, as she looks at the menu.

Lilly speaks, " I am starving, this baby of yours is making me so hungry. I think he's going to be big"

I look across the table, and sigh. Placing the glass of wine down I reply. "Lilly, I am happy for you, but I need to tell you something. I am not your baby's father. I cannot have a child. It is impossible for me to impregnate a woman. I'm sorry, but it's not my baby."

Lilly looks up at me with a devilish grin.

Not the reaction that I was expecting.

"Oh Angelo, I know you are the baby's father"

What's wrong with this girl , I think to myself.

"Lilly, I can't be, I just can't" I tell her .

"Angelo, you are. Not my fault you can't accept this."

The waiter appears with our food. A burger is placed before me , and Lilly's eyes light up at the obscenely large plate of blue steaks that she's served.

I am repulsed as i watch her devour the bloody and almost raw meat. Speaking between bites Lilly continues.

" Of course you are my baby's father, it is not my fault you assumed I am human. You never asked, but am not.

Angelo I know exactly what you are. You are not human either so our actions have a consequence. The baby is yours and you will take responsibility for him. You will be with me and raise our child together as a family or you will never see him."

" Blackmail ? The child is not even born and your using him for leverage to blackmail me to stay with you ?" I am furious and disgusted by Lilly now.

"You are a devil Lilly".

"Exactly" smirks Lilly.

She rises to leave, kisses me and says "And my name is Lilith"
